So the hotel standards other JW Marriotts I have stayed at. The staff are great. The Sargassum was terrible which made outside pool area unbearable. Of course they cannot help this but since the sargassum is not being hauled away the smell is awful! The property is very far from everything, since there is only one pool and not much else on the resort to do, it left a lot to be desired.

This is a tough review to write, because the staff was so lovely and helpful. That being said, there was an absolutely disgusting amount of seaweed coming the beach and ocean. You could not go to the beach and you could not swim in the ocean.... being that this is marketed as a beach resort, we were very disappointed when we arrived to learn we could not go on the beach or in the ocean... Seems like they easily could have sent an email or let us know the status of the beach prior to arrival, or paid for our transportation to and from a beach resort nearby that was not experiencing the same seaweed issue. If you are planning on going, I really wouldn't go back to this part of the island during this time of year. About 20 mins away there are beautiful beaches, with clear water and powdery sand.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The property was well maintained and my room was luxurious. I especially enjoyed the sunrise yoga session. The instructor was amazing, making sure I had the perfect start to each day while on vacation. The staff was all around very lovely. I would recommend this hotel for couples, friends and families.
