Not a great hotel but better than many others in Paris for the price

Igor was helpful with directions and recommendations on getting around. Printed out instructions to where we wanted to visit. The housekeeping was on point. No peeling paint. No cigarette burns on furniture. No leak stains and no bed bugs! Price for location was absolutely accessible. I would recommend Hotel Fiat to anyone. Blocks away from Moulin Rouge. Montmarte...near many bakeries and metro Blanche and Pigalle.

Here's what I liked about the Fiat - Easy walk to metro and fun/funky Montmartre; fast & friendly check in; good Wi-fi; good lighting & makeup mirror in bathroom, nice skylights let in the breeze. We were able to book an affordable triple room here in mid-July with little advance planning. Note for coffee addicts - there is a Starbucks a block away. Here's what was not so great - Triple was on the 6th floor (elevator only goes to 5th - in case people have mobility issues or heavy bags). Since no AC, 6th floor gets pretty warm in summer, so we had to leave the skylights open overnight. This part of Pigalle can be pretty lively on a weekend, so it was pretty noisy into the wee hours. AC - or even a fan - would have made a big difference here. Room appointments were somewhat worn (but clean) - would have liked a few more pillows. Ceiling on the 6th floor is low - especially in the shower stall, which is less than 6 ft. high. Not a problem for our short family, but tall people should know this about the 6th floor. Note for families with young kids - this hotel is a block from the Moulin Rouge and there are a lot of sex shops in the neighborhood. It did not feel unsafe, even late at night, but as I mentioned - "lively."
