Book Elsewhere - Poor Front Desk Service Ruined It
Dear hotel management. My attempts to engage with you directly to give my feedback & have a dialog about my experience with noise level and cleaning staff entering my room without my permission was, for some reason, circumvented by the front desk man on duty on Nov 29th. I selected this hotel based on the description "soundproofed" rooms. It was anything but. I heard an elderly couple bickering around 11. I reported to the night front desk person who got in touch with them immediately. However, they continued well past midnight. I also heard children in another room (I'm stating this to indicate the noises detected). I can also hear the cleaning crew starting shortly after 9 AM banging on doors & toilet seats. Most disturbing of all, even though I hung up the sign not to clean my room, the crew entered anyway & they left the door open. The hotel doesn't provide an in-room safe so I definitely had concerns about safety of my personal properties in the room. When I reported these issues to the front desk man during the day, he was defensive & said "I was the first customer to complain about noise" "the hotel doesn't allow any children" "some guests don't mean it even when they hung up the sign." After reporting the incident to Hotels.com rep, who got in touch to request for a refund, she said, she was treated rudely, told "no refunds - too complicated to process" and hung up. Hotels.com was gracious to provide me with a refund & agreed to remove "soundproof" description.

Exceptional 10.0
Lovely, Paris boutique hotel
I stayed at the International Paris Hotel for seven nights while relocating my daughter to Paris. Although, in American standards, the room was small, my daughter and I were very comfortable for the two nights we stayed there together. Essentially, the room had a double bed, a wall mounted television, a small desk and the bathroom - but for the price, the accommodations were perfect. I was there during an unusually part of June (it reached 100 degrees one day and 95 on the other two), the hotel was the perfect place for respite from the heat. The hotel is located in the Northern part of Paris and was within a 5 minute walk to the Goncourt metro station and a 10-15 minute walk to the Republique metro station. And within minutes from a variety of restaurants and patisseries. The staff speaks English well and were very sweet and accommodating. If I travel again to Paris, I most definitely will stay here again.

Exceptional 10.0
Good metro links to central Paris, Goncourt station just around the corner. Place de Republique is a 5 minute walk away. Our rooms were spotless and the bed was lovely and comfortable. Our bedroom has a spacious shower and bathroom but our daughter's was smaller and a bit cramped. When we arrived the rooms that had been allocated to us were on separate floors, we asked if we could be on the same floor and the hotel sorted this straight away which was really pleasing. The hotel provided free soft drinks and bottled water in the mini bar which was appreciated and a kind gesture. Wi Fi was on the slow side. Lots of bars, cafes, restaurants and bakeries nearby. We really enjoyed the local area and what it had to offer. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Exceptional 10.0
We have lived in France for 15 years and have spent the last 15 visiting often. In Paris you must first and most importantly know WHERE you want to stay. If you choose the most up and coming arrondisement then the 11th is for you. Lots of activity, restaurants, cafes, bistros, and the canal de St Martin which is within walking distance. The hotel in at the northern section of the 11th near Oberkompth. The hotel itself is on a quiet street which is very important. The other important things especially to my wife is cleanliness, great mattress, and a great shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are several very good restaurants, cafes, and bistros just around each corner and on final remark. On some of our trips to Paris we rent a car as we did this past trip and we found a place to park every time which is very rare in Paris. If you don't rent a car which I suggest you don't if you plan to visit only Paris city the metro is just around the corner (Republic). Bon Voyage...

Very good 8.0
Pleasant little hotel
The hotel looks very nice from the outside and certainly sticks out from the back street it is located. As soon as you step in you are instantly welcomed by the staff who are happy to assist you with finding a good restaurant and directions to Paris’ attractions. While the room was small it was expected since it is the norm for European city hotels and the view from the window was not that great. The bed was comfortable and the room has got to be the cleaniest I’ve seen in a hotel! As my partner and I don’t drink hot drinks we were pleasantly surprised that the minibar was topped up daily with soft drinks at no charge. Location great as it is a short walk from Republique which has good places to eat and the station that takes you to main tourist attractions. Good value for money and we certainly would book again if we return to Paris.
