Hotel Waldorf Montparnasse

Hotel management is deceitful!! They are legally bound to inform customers on their website, Expedia and on site -that the hotel is undergoing renovations. I had to find out the worse way possible, in the morning as I was trying to catch up on sleep due to jetlag. When I addressed my concern to management, they offered me another room further away, but you could still hear the drilling/vibrating noise. I was then informed, the worse had past & the rest of the week would be less intrusive. The following morning, I hear the same noise!! What a waste of my time as I moved my stuff to a downgraded room. The manager was delighted to let me know they would give me a free breakfast to make up for the value. I basically got a smaller room with breakfast at my cost for my original room. And this is what they believe took care of my inconvenience??? The room was so small, with a broken lock and a bed that bumped the wall when I slept in bed. They were unwilling to give me a better room or a refund, because they felt the renovations were done during appropriate hours. Renovations are never appropriate if a customer does not have full disclosure before they book. I felt trapped. Luckily, I contacted Expedia and they relocated me to another Hotel. A few days were wasted packing and unpacking, lack of sleep and my body was fighting a cold. This management took no responsibility- no refund & mislead customers by not informing them about the renovations.

I was very apprehensive about which hotel to book for my first trip to Paris. I booked this hotel for me and my partner's 3 year anniversary, and emailed the hotel beforehand to request a room with a view and they responded instantly to my request. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely day who explained we were on the 5th floor in a large room with a balcony! The room was great, clean, minimalistic and warm (almost too warm and I'm not sure if the AC was working in our room). The room faced a busy street but the room was completely sound proofed. The bed was VERY comfy, great if you prefer a softer mattress. There are two Metro stations close by, one within a 2 minute walk which was very handy for us. You can see the Eiffel Tower when you step out onto the main street near the Metro station. We were able to leave our luggage after check out without charge as our flight wasn't until the evening, Overall I throughly enjoyed my trip to Paris, and the hotel definitely added to our experience. When we return in the future I'll be sure to pay another visit! Thank you, Hotel Waldorf.

This hotel has been very nicely renovated. Stylish lobby and rooms. There is even a small and charming patio with plants, a table and two chairs. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and caring. They even gave us blankets as we decided to sit outside. There is coffee, wine and liquor available for a small fee in the lobby. the room was very nicely decorated. Not very big, which is common in Paris due to the age of most buildings, but big enough. The neighborhood is quite nice, and very convenient as you can catch the subway at the Montparnasse train station that is across the street. Easy access to both airports and to most neighborhoods. The only cons was that the bed was made of two single mattresses, which you feel if you want to get close to your partner.

This is a very good hotel, albeit a bit pricey. The receptionist was very friendly and we had no problems leaving our luggage at the hotel when we showed up early for check-in. Our room was in the back and therefore very quiet. By Paris standards it was spacious, including the bathroom. The only reservation we have has to do with the bathroom: keep in mind that it is a very big step to get into and out of the tub/shower. Also the floor is marble (beautiful) and therefore very slippery when wet. People with reduced mobility should really keep that in mind. Aside from this reservation we would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed first time in this hotel just for a night, for a transit to Nantes and I already liked the ambiance. It's warm and cozy. Receptionists are friendly & helpful, especially the lady in morning shift. The personnel staff are polite. The room smells fresh & clean everyday. The following week, I came back & stayed for 5 days with a friend to tour her around Paris. My friend loved the hotel too. The location is perfect! It is in the middle of everything and just a few minutes walk to SNCF. Will definitely recommend this hotel and stay again.
