Charged us about $40 for a few nuts and M&Ms.
Nice room. Good breakfast. Housekeeping complained about my psoriasis- why? She has to vacuum anyway. Big drawback:: Absolutely no place to park temporarily by front entrance to unload luggage from car. Hotel has a few front steps, so not handicapped accessible. Elevator the size of a phone booth. Worse moment: when reception told us 30 EUROS for 'mini-bar' when we had only a few nuts from one jar, one almond from another jar, and a few m&ms. We thought it was a welcome gift, as most 4* hotels offer something. Outrageous!! Almost $40. Good customer service would have been to comp the snacks. Furthermore, when I asked reception to phone our car rental company, Hertz, she reacted as if bothered, and said 'no answer' when she dialed. So I asked to her to lookup the phone number on internet. Again, she was not helpful nor eager to assist. Bad attitude. Very bad customer service. Not at all helpful. For that reason, we will not stay here again.

Exceptional 10.0
Wonderful hotel and personnel! Exceptional location in the center of most attractions. Even with a five and seven year old (with one stroller) we were able to walk everywhere and take an easy uber back if needed. The hotel was receptive to any requests and questions. We did not do the breakfast but instead ate at boulangeries instead. High end shopping was extremely close as well. The family room was two rooms that were connected by a hallway. The hallway had a separate door so we could leave the room doors open at night for the kids to feel safe and easily go back and forth. I truly enjoyed our stay and felt it was perfect for our family. We stayed in 121 and 122 that had overhead shower heads which I requested. Not all rooms may have that. The decor, the location and staff were fantastic. Would stay there again!!!

UNDER RENOVATION until the end of 2019
I have stayed at Hotel Cambon in the past. It is certainly not a luxury hotel but it was pleasant and beautifully located near the Place de la Concorde. However it is now very tired and a bit grubby which is why it is under renovation. Unfortunately, the hotel gave me a room on the 6th floor -- directly under the jack hammers. Since I'd paid extra so I would have my room when I arrived in the city at 9 am, this was a huge issue for me. I'd just gotten unpacked and into bed when the horrible noise began. I asked to be moved or refunded at which time I would have been happy to go across the street to the Melia Vendome, which I prefer. I booked the Hotel Cambon only because it was then more than $50 less a night in a comparable room. They moved me and upgraded the room which was an excellent solution. If you book, just make sure to request a room well away from the noise. I did see signs about the renovation near the elevator before I left.

Good 6.0
This is definitely not a four star property with ripped carpet cracked tiles in the bathroom and zero sound proofing or temperature controls in the room. The location is great except that it is on a very busy street with what seems like most rooms on the street sode so we were subject to a ton of noise from below our window. Typical TINY bathroom, no real room amenities but a robe. Welcome was one individual size bottle of water for the two of us. Booked this hotel as part of a package through Expedia and pretty much figured we got the crappiest room at the property. They are renovating and maybe are working top floors down because we did hear construction and lots of workers were coming and going. 1st floor had definitely not been renovated yet. Rarely in the room in Paris, but never got a good night’s sleep.

Exceptional 10.0
We booked two rooms for 5 adults and there had been some confusion as to how many beds we required but on arrival we were upgraded to the top floor where the rooms have balconies and one of the rooms had a very pleasant separate lounge where the 5 of us could all sit and eat or chat. I cant speak for the regular rooms but the ones on the top floor were very spacious for Paris. The staff are all pleasant and attentive and the breakfast is excellent value for this location, featuring scrambled eggs, ham and sausage in addition to the traditional continental offerings of fruit, cold meats, cheeses, cereals and a fine selection of breads and pastries. I would happily return to the hotel again if staying in Paris. The location is ideal for visiting all the main attractions, entrance to concorde metro is less than 2 minutes away and it is walking distance to both the louvre and Napoleons tomb.
