highly, HIGHLY recommend. If your looking to camp at big bend, ditch bringing your own gear and spend a couple nights at this camp ground, the owner has really out did himself and made this into a glamping expierence. The pathways are well lit to find your seculded tent, the power and furniture made dealing with the texas heat so much more manageable and never felt so safe and comfortable sleeping in a tent. Ususually I am grossed out with communial restrooms, but the showers and restrooms were so clean I felt as comfortable as they were my own. Not to mention the ammenieties of fire pits, grills, swings, hammacks to lay out on. The whole place is strategically placed on a beautiful hill, watching the sunset after hiking at big bend made the whole trip come together. Will DEFINITELY recommend and will be returning!

Very rustic, It was nice to have tents on site already built. The bathrooms/Shower and water situation was a bit limited, but that is common in that area. Wonderful views but the street noise was very loud even far from the street. There was not always staff on site and no actual checkin/checkout system or camp office.

If you are looking for a quiet location with excellent sunset and sunrise, dark skies with brilliant stars and an amazing moonrise this is your spot. Keep in mind this is camping with nice facilities, f=outdoor flushable toilets and showers. Bring your own gear for cooking etc.. Slava can provide sheets, blankets and pillows as well as a battery pack for minimal electric needs.

We really wanted to like this property and have stayed in properties like this in the past. There were only 2 toilets for about 15/16 people including the owners. 2 showers but only 1 had heated water. No changing area for dry clothes. Latches for restrooms and showers are on the outside so someone could potentially walk in on you or you could be locked in. Extension cords bunched up in the back of the tents posts a safety hazard. The listing states electricity but it went out at 11:30pm and didn’t come in until after 7:30am. Listing also showed that we would get a refrigerator and our own battery bank which was changed by the owner the day of checkin. Only 1 trash can for the whole place and it was overfilling. Lots of cactus along the pathways. A poor girl tripped in one in the middle of the night. The owner or their friend had an unleashed dog roaming the property barking at guests and peeing on tents and their belongings. The place is right off the road so you can hear the cars drive by. The campsites are not level so you are sitting/cooking at an angle. There were a few good things. It’s just outside Terlingua and in close proximity to gas/restaurants/grocery and entertainment. Bedding was clean. Red lights in the rocks give a nice ambiance if the power were to have stayed on. I know water is difficult to obtain at a facility like this so offering showers is great I just wish I knew that it was only 1 shower with hot water that way we could have prepared better.

This place is a Gem. If you are headed to Big Bend we would highly recommed staying here. Literally in the middle of a ghost town. We will be back!

A magical stay under the canvas, could hear the coyotes howling in the distance. Comfortable bedding and the host was easy to reach and accommodating.
