The receptionist at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. He let us check in early. The location of the hotel was very convenient and within walking distance to the underground trains. However, the room wasn’t that comfortable. It was tiny and there was no AC in the room. They provided us with electric fan but it would have been more comfortable to sleep in if there was an AC in the room. Moreover, the room we stayed in was next to the road so we could hear the cars passing by. Overall, its a 3 star hotel and enough to stay in if youre in the city for a 2 days maximum.

Renovated rooms and friendly staff
The hotel itself doesn't look great from the outside, but the inside is very nice and renovated. Single rooms are larger than most other London hotels I've stayed in. Rooms have good noise insulation (triple window), even if you're on the street side. Nice quiet garden on the other side of the hotel, serving as their restaurant/bar terrace.

Expensive, disappointing overall, wouldn't return.
What I didn't like: - Very expensive for a single room for three nights, albeit in line with London prices. - The room was very small and very hot, depsite moderately useful fan provided. - Outdated, unsuitable shower system. Tap came off in first room, extremely hot water ceaselessly pumping into the bath, this was dangerous and irritating, had to change rooms. Second room slightly better, need to experiment with cold and hot taps to get temperature right, extremely hot with only slight adjustments, genuine safety concern that should be addressed with urgency. - Bathroom far too small and uncomfortable. Shower curtain flimsy. - Weak broadband, signal dropped/very slow at times. - Limited amenities in room, e.g. no fridge or hairdryer. - Breakfast was average at best, some . items didn't taste fresh, others were cold even though I was there within the first hour. What I did like: - Nice room, despite the size. - Nice views of the garden. - Bed was small but slept well. - Useful lifts. - Nice hallways. - Good selection of TV channels and very convenient/easily manoeuvreable TV stand. - Room was quiet. - Room was serviced daily. - Room was clean for the most part, apart from a hair on the bedsheet. - Hotel kept luggage after check-out, which was appreciated.

Generally good experience
Do not choose the room on the street side if you like quietness. Besides, easily hear the next door people talking. Fortunately the guests who talked loud left after two or three days. The room size is not big but maybe good enough. bath room is small and the counter top is small. There is some walking distance from Holborn station but managable. Everyday breakfast is the same but there is tomato and cucumber and apples, orange and bananas which are good.
