We stayed in a very nice suite that included a sitting area, which was perfect because we didn't venture from the room much. The room was very clean, and the safety precautions taken by the hotel were appreciated. My only complaint would be the cost for parking ($34) in the ramp that was suggested by the hotel.

    Strange times in downtown Minneapolis

Downtown Minneapolis has recently gained a reputation for being dangerous due to a spike in crime. My flight arrived after 10 pm, I arrived at the hotel just after 11 pm. The Uber dropped me off in the drop-off area, in a cul-de-sac in an alley. The main entrance was locked so I called the front desk to see if they could open the door. They said they could but never came. I walked around the building, approximately 250 yards, passing another locked entrance, with my bags in 30 degree weather, to an entrance labeled as the hotel coffeeshop. In the vestibule was a camera doorbell. After interrogating me about whether I had a reservation or not, the two desk attendants deemed to let me in. My request for an upgrade using my family's lifetime platinum elite membership was denied. The room was 50 degrees and took a long time to heat up. The bottle of pinot noir I bought from the front desk could not be opened. My room, in a quite empty hotel, was the furthest possible from the elevator (not that I minded the exercise). To the hotel's credit, other staff members were effusively helpful and they comped the bottle of pinot.

This hotel is so beautiful! The room was clean, tidy & very modern. Only complaint is the parking, on here is saying valet is still available so that was what I was expecting instead we had to park across the street in a parking garage. Which wasn’t terrible but somewhat of a inconvenience. Will definitely return to this hotel for future visits.

    Parking nightmare

Despite the unfavorable parking situation, the hotel really did accommodate to all my needs! Plus they were so friendly and helpful!

This was a lovely hotel. It had a lot of charm and character - not the usual generic hotel room. I would definitely stay there again.

Amazing wonderful staff/hotel for wedding weekend

We stayed at the hotel for our daughter's wedding this weekend and were so very happy with all of the staff. They were very friendly, helpful, and helped to make our weekend run smoothly. They were particularly amazing with helping for our rehearsal and dinner after plans had fallen through and it was all perfect! Thank you Emery staff!

I booked a King size room. When I got there they said they only had Queen sized rooms left. They said I needed to pay more in order to upgrade To a deluxe king. Really? You book a room expecting to get that room. Just to get there and they gave away your room you booked? So you have to pay more?
