Fantastic island/facilities
Beautiful island, good resort facilities. Great scuba diving and snorkelling right off the beach. Food/meal plan quite expensive. Advise NOT to take Mana Flyer boat to island as these are overloaded and unsafe. Use one of the other companies/modes of transportation. Amazing food for an affordable price can be found at Ravi's kitchen at the second backpackers about 500m down the beach from the resort, can't recommend highly enough and certainly much better than the $75 per head dinner buffett offering at the resort.

Some issues, but relaxing stay
We were originally placed in bure 138, which was directly next to major construction on the south side of the island that began early in the morning and lasted until 10pm. There was also a noisy family in the bure attached, so the next day we requested a new bure and were moved to the northern side of the island. The bure was fine, but had not much lighting, a noisy A/C and not a great bed. Lighting was only an issue as it did rain during our stay leaving us seeking the comfort of our bure. The main restaurant near the pool had apparently been open during the month, but was closed during our stay due to "issues during inspection". Construction was also being done on this restaurant on the northern side of the island. I would NOT recommend the dinner buffet due to expense and poor food (and we are not picky eaters). Breakfast buffet and dinner at the smoothie bar was great. We also did a couples massage at the spa which was nice and relaxing. Both the north beach and the south beach have spectacular snorkeling. Walk just a few steps from the beach into the water and the reef was amazing. Not ideal for swimming, though, as the reef surrounds the island. The pools were very nice, offering an adult only pool that we stayed close to most of the week. I would recommend bringing snacks and beverages with you, as there is only one resort boutique with limited selection.
