Do not stay if you are looking for a relaxing stay
The hotel and location overlooking the Brisbane river is lovely, however the hotel is obviously a party hotel with revellers coming in and out all night, doors slamming, loud music and a punch up in the lobby! The room above us got asked twice to turn their music down and it was still going until we woke up at 6am the next morning.. We could watch the drama unfold on the CCTV channels and maybe the 7/11 at the foyer area isn’t a great draw card for the Hotel as it brings in a lot of unsightly characters! Hotel is located close to nightclubs and bars and lots if intoxicated people were checking in. The staff were lovely and the room service menu options are lovely and the beds were comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed though except for the noise! And not very family friendly.

Poor 2.0
I lost my credit card and they didn’t allow me to check in without card cause they want to charge deposit money from card (but first I asked a staff can we do by cash? She said yes), if they only do card, just tell me from first, cause they still charge me from my credit card number, but still ask me about pysically card, I said they can check my creditcard number photo (that I kept on my phone) and ID and match them or keep my ID instead if they are afraid that I lie. But they said they can not go this way. Ask for solution, but give me complicated solution to buy prepaid debit card at groceries (honestly I don’t know how prepaid card works and never buy before) and eventually they allow me to get in but I need to sent them all my photo ID, credit card number and completed an evidence form. The one that I want to say, why from the first they don’t give me this solution, so I don’t need wasting time more than 2 hours (cause that time was so many people on queing to go to the receptionist as well, need to wait so long time), come and go to check which prepaid card that they asked for, and at first the staff said they can do cash for deposit, but the last they can’t do cash (only card). So you can ask me to charge from my card and get all my ID and card numbers as an evidence.

Terrific location, walkable to lots of coffee shops, food courts, two ferry stops and the river walk. We had a spectacular view from the 43rd floor with a large terrace. Staff was helpful in calling cabs, etc. The bathroom was surprisingly under par, more like a dorm bathroom. There was only one fluorescent light, in the middle of the room, not over the mirror, which made getting ready difficult. Water temperature fluctuated during every shower and the room was very bare. It was nice to have a washer dryer and dishwasher in the unit. We visited in the winter and the room was hard to get warm.

Poor 2.0
Poor service and no help
I came to Brisbane for my brothers funeral so booked here as it was a central location. I called through to check on car parking and was told no problems a small fee each day. On arrival I could not get in the foyer. Pressed the buzzer and no one let us in. When I finally was let in by another guest the staff where slow and unresponsive. I asked about the car park and they said there was none available. I reminded them I had called before to check, but alias there still was none available. They assured me Wilson parking behind the building was similar price. Well one over night park and another 3 hour stay before the funeral was $89 and $69 dollars - a complete rip off and took advantage of the situation I was in needing the car. After the funeral I took the car back to the airport and caught a taxi back into the city as the cost was so high for parking. The lifts were forever slow and on Saturday the day after the funeral the toilet in the room blocked after my son used it. I called an reported this at 12 noon and when I returned at 6.30 they still had not done anything. When I called the response was we don't have maintenance staff here on the weekend, so almost like sorry we cant help. After my strong protest some was sent up and the problem solved. But overall based on the circumstance of my stay and the facilities I will never stay here again. A tough situation was made a lot worse by un caring and poor staff who simply seemed understaffed and too busy to care !

I liked the fact that it was clean and neat. What bothered me was the noise from the traffic outside, smell of weed in the hallway leading to the elevator which was not appropriate for my 2year old daughter. The wifi didn't also pick up so had to sign in as a visitor than a guest which was not acceptable. The night shift reception lady with the glasses and piercing was too stuck up, as though she was better than everyone. The rest was superb.
