Desperate needs a renovation....
The hotel is definitely well located but it really needs some improvements/renovation. Everything is so old that gives you a sad feeling about it. Breakfast also needs to improve a lot. Is not nice have to wait for a long time to sit as there are only few tables. What makes it nice is of course location and the people. Very nice people. But I would definitely not stay there again.

Residencial boutique hotel, more personal relationship among everyone, guests and employees. Rooms doesn’t have sound block so we easily hear outside noise from the bars and road traffic.

Excellent hotel one block in from Ipanema Beach
This was a relatively last minute booking while in Brazil with a plan to return to Rio for one last night. Due to flight plans and arriving late on the night of our arrival, I contacted the hotel to ensure that the reservation would be held since we'd be checking in after 11pm. The hotel responded very quickly and everything was set. The hotel, itself, is a beautiful, boutique hotel with a lovely lobby and restaurant area where a delicious breakfast was served. The room, itself, was great. It had its own balcony, was a newly constructed/renovated room with all the necessary amenities. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was very reasonably priced and, fortunately, available on short notice; probably because we stayed in August, which is their "winter." I would absolutely book this hotel again and will look for it if I travel to other cities where there are locations. Thanks for a great stay!
