Great hotel
We have been in Norway for 11 days staying in many of the finer hotels. The Grand Olav had the most spacious, beautiful, and comfortable rooms of them all. The price was a bargain and the food delicious!

Convenient
The hotel was very close to the station which was good as we're travelling by train. Our room was set up as a disabled room, but one of the handles in the bathroom would not stay out of the way when using the hand basin which was a bit annoying. The light in the entrance way could not be turned off without all the other lights in the room turning off also, which made things slightly awkward, especially in the middle of the night if you wanted to turn on a bed light.

A dump
For the price I paid for this room and being a Clarion, it’s a dump. All the power outlets and light switches must be over 20 years old and dirty. The baseboard trim including the hallway trim was beaten up and showing exposed wood. The walls had all sorts of marks and exposed plaster. If I had paid motel prices I’d expect this but this was expensive and a Clarion so it was a dump. Very disappointed. Never Clarion again. I say go to Radisson Blu instead.

Nice clean hotel, very comfortable bed and large room space. Excellent high quality light buffet provided as part of the room costs - far exceeded expectations - a lovely inviting touch for guests to make one feel at home. Very nice brand of toiletries in the bathroom.

Nice hotel, great service
Fantastic service, clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, great breakfast and evening buffet! The elevators and other details are in need of an upgrade, the elevator doors in particular are too aggressive if you have a wheelchair or are bit impaired and slow, which detracts a little from an otherwise great experience.
