Bullied by bellboy
My stay at the Palms Place is always great. I don't book anywhere else when I come to Vegas. BUT there were some issues with the telephone not working. I couldn't call for service and had to go downstairs. The main bathrooms faucet knob broke off the moment i turned it on to wash my hands. There were light bulbs that were out and had to be replaced. All issues were fixed immediately. At the end of my trip i felt bullied into tipping the Bell Service. I asked for a trolly cart so that i could bring my luggage down to the car & i was told that i need to pay a "FEE" of $20 before he could do so. The gentleman was forceful and had asked for zelle or venmo payment. When i asked the front desk if that was correct they told me that any items that were not luggage will have a fee based upon the bellboy. This was new to me considering I've stayed here well of over 7 times at the Palms. I don't think that was proper procedure & if that is what they are going to do then it should be documented in writing. I have no problem tipping (which i normally do) but the way the bellboy approached the situation was not professional. i tried to do the work myself but front desk said they no longer loan out the trollys.

A Local’s Review- Great Stay
I’m a local so staycations are a part of life here. We never stayed at Palms. However we decided on Palms Place because the rooms tend to be larger. It’s the solo tower not connected to Palms Resort Casino but you just walk over to the casino through a sky tunnel. Very easy. The hotel room was amazing. Larger than most hotels, so clean and bathroom - the shower is awesome. The beds were a little old but keep in mind that with this tower, some people actually own the rooms. Don’t let that stop you from staying here. They’re really nice. It’s a way from the main strip so I liked that. Here are my complaints- it was a bit difficult the next morning to get to coffee. The people checking you in should do a better job explaining the room number and elevator situation (kinda confusing if it’s your first stay). We went over to Palms casino after hanging at the Laguna pool all day (which is a nice pool). We are at Mabel’s BBQ and this spot is just okay. The live band is a bit weird playing in your face while you eat - but for some that might be okay. The most fun we have between Palms and Palms place was to go back on our side and hang out at the restaurant attached to Laguna Pool. They have a live band Friday nights that’s really good and will even invite people to come up and do karaoke. It’s inside the sushi restaurant. Overall it was a fun stay. Loved the room. Valet guys- great!

This was a family trip and we brought along our personal computers for school work, etc. Well the free nor the paid WiFi did not work at all. We called the front desk and WiFi support a few times and the WiFi still would not work. The technician even used our computer ID to connect directly, but the WiFi still would not stay on. Eventually, I paid for the expanded bandwidth WiFi thinking this would resolve the issue and it did not. My son was ultimately docked points on his school assignment because he could not complete it during our stay due to the WiFi. Worst ever!!!

Stay anywhere else
Staff was rude over my request to get the ac working I checked in and walked into to a sauna of a room. Asked the front desk for support and they told me they would be sending someone right up and an he passed As I got ready to hit the town and sweated off my make up, I had to call again. Finally someone was sent told me it would take he’s to fix And may not even be fixed today so I called the front desk to ask for a new room if possible and she very rudely staying “you are not getting an upgrade so please don’t ask you’ll get whatever we have left” and I think that’s when I lost it I never asked for an upgrade just a room with a working an ac and the level of paid for . So I went to the front to 1 get the keys she said I had to leave my room with all my stuff go all the way down to obtain my keys as no accommodations will be honored . So I went down stairs to also complain and the second she saw me she said I’m taking my break sorry . Not even giving me my new room keys? Only to find out she placed me in a room with a moth infestation Spoke to the manager and luckily he was understanding and knew my complaint was reasonable and not once did I disrespect his staff but clear requested an easier check in . It all worked out but what an awful start!!!! Never again will I stay there

I'm glad we gave this hotel a try. The jetted tub and rain shower caught my attention when browsing for hotels, and it did not disappoint. The design of the entire room is modern and sleek. You can tell they upkeep their rooms. Our only complaint is the endless moths that kept getting into the room, it appeared to come from a vent. Other than that, everything else was great. If you're considering it give it a try!
