Holiday Inn Express Norwich

We didn’t enjoy our stay the room was ok and the staff great with the amount of roles they perform reception, bar, kitchen and shuttle bus driver to name a few. We were disappointed with the location of the hotel as derelict building next door and not many food options near by. The bar and food choices at the hotel are limited and the ovens had broken whilst we were there and no food was available and as we’d have a couple of drinks couldn’t drive out anywhere so we had to order a takeaway. The bar area was cold with a door to the patio open and the main door open it made the whole of the bar area cold and we spent the evening wearing our coats. I won’t be staying again at this hotel.

Handy for what we needed

Service was good but hotel needs major TLC. Rooms need major refurb. First room was bare with only a bed and chair in it. Next room was better but had a broken sofa bed in. Bathroom however had an awful smell in it. Not up to Holiday Inn standard. Would have expected much better.

Fantastic service from the manager Calvin on reception was brilliant and he was very helpful with my wife and son. And made our trip very comfortable

We had three rooms, and key card on all rooms was very temperamental.
