Fair 4.0
Needs a lot of work. Review is on 1bdrm w/sofa bed
Carpet was dirty, splattered with stains. Housekeeping left my door open while I was gone for over 5 hrs and didn't refresh towels or toilet paper. Manager apologized and tried to only offer me a free breakfast, no thanks, I had made many purchases and worth a lot more than a $25 crappy breakfast that could have been stolen. I did get my past breakfast and dinner/drinks charges removed, roughly $100. The daily fee only covers crappy wifi, towels, making of bed, no new sheets, free parking, and 2 coffee pods, you have to buy more on your own. Not worth the price. The sofa bed was awful, could feel the metal frame. Asked front desk for something to help and they only gave me another thin mattress pad. The living room area is very small, when you have the sofa bed out you can't get by the bed or table to get to balcony or otherside of room. Bedroom remote was missing had to call for one. Hair behind toilet room door. Parking lot small had to park far from door most nights. When you sleep on sofa bed in living room you can hear everyone passing by and the walls are thin as I could also hear my neighbors hanging out in their living room. There is construction behind hotel so if you ask for a Universal studios view so you can see fireworks plan on it being noisy. Breakfast buffet was awful, watery OJ, crumbly thin bacon, not enough sitting area, slow to refill food, $12 is too much to charge for that. Shady pool area, no sun till after noon or 1pm. Drinks at bar are expensive.

The Biggest Surprise was the Staff.
I came to Orlando, to take my son to Universal and have a nice time. Those things were accomplished, but the thing that will stand out in my mind, was the staff at " The Point". The face of any Hotel, Resort is the Front Desk. Your Front Desk Staff are some of the most courteous, professional group of individuals that I have come in contact with in along time. The first person I came in contact with was Kimberly. She greeted me with a smile and was very helpful in my check-in process. Then there was the Night Auditor, I forgot her name, but she took the time to further explain things for me, and even got me a bucket of ice. In the morning, I met Kindra G. she explained the ground transportation to me, and took the time to answer any additional questions that I may have. All of your staff went out of their way to make my family feel comfortable. Your housekeeping staff was also very kind, thank you Gladys and Liseat. I would be remiss if I did not mention your room service staff and anybody else, I didn't mention by name. In my view the most valuable part of you property, is overwhelming, your staff. Thank you for taking the time in making my family"s vacation a memory that we will not forget. Thank You All Stay Blessed Casey Hill Rm906H

Exceptional 10.0
Great holiday ever, thanks to the great service we had by the staff of The Point Hotel and Suites! We got caught in traffic and got to the hotel after 2am. Our reservation had been purged from the system and therefore the young lady behind the counter had to find us a room for the night. She was so kind, calm, collected and new her job well. Within minutes she had corrected the problem. All the people working there were nice, friendly and inviting! All employees were totally engaged and seemed to love and were proud of their hotel! They made me believe that this was the best hotel and that they were proud of the great service they were providing.. and I believed them as the hotel was top notch clean and inviting. We felt totally at home. Kudos to the food manager - Michael ! Alberto was great! He sang praise of the hotel all the way to the 8th floor and while unloading our luggage to our clean bright room! The lady behind the desk who gave us our rooms the next morning took time to explain everything , the routes, restaurants around and had great things to say about the Point hotel Bar & grill without shoving it down our throats! Am glad we did eat there because Michael was a great host! It wasn't just a hotel stay, it was a great experience, looking forward to going back. It stays true that happy employees are engaged, proud and value their jobs and in turn provide great customer service, hence great customer satisfaction. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

The best hotel in Orlando! Clean, friendly, safe!
Cleanliness - I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of everything in and around the hotel. When we first walked in, I said "it smells so good in here". It had a smell like laundry softener! Then we got to the room, which was also extremely clean. Everything in the bathroom was sparkling. I will say that there was a hole in my sheets toward the bottom of the bed, but it did not affect me at all. It was tiny. There was also a smear of what looked like blood on the curtains, but it was in a crease that was not easily seen (we are VERY picky about hotels and inspect every surface). Overall, I give it a 9/10 for cleanliness. Service - GREAT. Every staff member was more than helpful. At one point we had a snorkeling set that we needed opened up, and an attendant offered to open it for us. The breakfast staff members were the kindest we've ever met. There was also a door man who was beyond kind. Two security guards walk the premise at night, which made us feel incredibly safe. We were attending Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, and we were two young females returning to our hotel in the dark at 1-2 am nightly. We never felt unsafe. Amenities - The breakfast included toast and bagels, Starbucks coffee (regular was free, or you could pay for specialty drinks), sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, grits, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, and a variety of drinks. In-room amenities were great. Wifi was fast. Drive to Universal took 5 minutes! I will never stay at another resort in Orlando!

Very good 8.0
I'd stay again in a heartbeat, the cons were minor
Overall, I really liked the property and would definitely stay again. The amount of amenities for the cost is awesome. Pros: Most of all it was pretty chill and quiet there. I normally have to wear ear plugs at a hotel, but I didn't have to here once over 10 days. I could do my own laundry and they even provided the little boxes of laundry detergent. The bar and grill next to the pool/hot tub had awesome food and drinks. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, the shuttle service went above and beyond for us when the Disney transportation messed up. The proximity to Universal/Sea World/Discovery Cove made for quick rides Cons: The daily room service was spotty at best. Not a huge deal because normally I wouldn't even use it, but since we were cooking some of our own meals, we had plenty of garbage that needed to be removed. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't consistent. Some days one of the beds wasn't made, most days the coffee pods didn't get replaced, they left extra soap even though we hadn't used them since we brought our own. The front desk was always willing to give us more coffee, which I just got when I came back from the hot tub each night. We left our towels hanging to use them again, and they were replaced with fresh ones. Overall not a deal breaker. The TVs are old and don't have very good cable reception. Breakfast is typical subpar hotel breakfast, I would probably book without it next time. The pool was great, but the hot tub was luke warm most days.
