Close to the theatres & parliament
This was my first time staying at Ovolo Laneways (stayed at their property in South Yarra before) and it was great. So close to Spring Street and with Bourke Street parallel there is access to trams. Her Majesty's Theatre is only a 200 metre walk with the Princess Theatre even closer. Room is large. Only issue I had was the choice of small basin in the bathroom which was difficult to wash my face without wetting the floor then needing the one bath mat to dry it.

The staff here are amazing. So helpful and friendly. Close to China town and easy walk to cbd. Our first night was super noisy as was NY Eve. People running up and down the hall. Beds comfy and shower good. It was a bit small for 4 people. We did get a glass of Prosecco free in the bar and free mini bar which was awesome

I really liked this hotel. stayed here previously. But I made the mistake of trusting Expedia in a rushed moment. I will be wary of Expedia in the future. I was not informed of renovations. Expedia should have informed me. It is not Ovolo's fault. It is a failure of 'concern' 'duty' 'care' by Expedia (too big, too smart - whatever!)
