We had booked a double room with pool access. We were given a twin room without pool access. We were told there would be no double bed rooms with pool access until later in the week. After hours of trying for a resolution we told them we would stay elsewhere. Which we proceeded to book. We then retrieved our bags & returned for a refund. We were then told that they could get us the room we had booked. We decide to not stay as had already arranged alternate accomodation which we had told them we were doing. We were then told we would have to go through wotif to get a refund but their manager would have to agree & we would have to wait what could have been days to get an answer as the manager could only be contacted by email. We had no choice but to stay. Then they told us a room wasn’t ready and we would have to wait for a room. We wasted nearly a whole day & lots of stress just trying to get a decent room & ended up with a filthy room with no hot water for the whole time. Others around the resort also told us of their problems with getting the rooms they booked. They put up signs & ropes on the pool the 2nd day we were there saying it was closed for 3 days & the 2nd pool also had signs saying it was closed. The next day they were both open. I can only assume that whatever was going to take 3 days only took overnight! I have stayed there 4 times before Covid but due to the blatant disregard for our booking & the state of cleanliness of our room we would never stay there again.
