Major upkeep needed, old inn and not in a good way
First the pros: fantastic location, short walking distance to everything, free off street parking and the building didn’t collapse though we expected it too. Now the cons: Awkward, condescending staff. Little to no service but ok for short stay. But the major drawback is the poor state of the property. It hasn’t been updated in 30+ years and it really shows. Our room was a king room on the second floor. The floor was bowing and bouncing when you walked, and the furniture leaned and rattled. The air conditioner was really old and loud. The toilets didn’t flush properly. The water drained REALLY slow from the sink. The bathroom ceiling was yellow with water stains and visible signs of recent leaks. The carpet floors were stained and sticky. The property looked like the owners haven’t invested any money in some basic upkeep in years. A couple weeks with a handyman would do wonders for this place. The place is something you would expect more from Motel 6 than a 3 star historic inn.
