Very good
Nice stay with a couple of caveats
Stayed overnight returning from a family trip, and got the 2 queen suite with a separate couch area with pull-out bed (Room 305). Overall, a decent stay, with the following specifics and/or caveats: Pros: Nice Pool Area Friendly Staff behind the desk and at the restaurant. The room was decently sized. Beds and Pillows were comfortable Nice location near the Interstate and the Airport Plus food in the restaurant. Wi-Fi was solid Cons: I asked for the top floor, but there was no room available. I was told that the 3rd floor was in a quiet area. That might be in reference to the parking lot, but the people above were very loud to hear just walking around and "thumping" in general. We even brought our own box fan to add white noise and could still hear the thumping from above. People shutting doors was also very loud in the room. There was something sticky on the floor next to one of the beds...not sure what, but the rest of the room seemed clean. The door to the bathroom needs a hanging adjustment, as it would not shut without a bunch of effort and would slowly creep open if not shut 100 percent all the way, which is a bit difficult in a large family when someone needs to use the bathroom at night. In all a good stay, and with some better noise management (either a better room, better guests etc..) the stay would have been even better. 6.5/10

Poor
Horrible room, staff that didn't care
Our room's heating/air conditioning unit did not work. It seemed stuck on pumping out very hot air all the time, even when we set the thermostat to very low and cool. The room got up to 84 degrees. We called the front desk and they seemed to not care and told us to be patient that it would eventually start cooling. After several hours we called again and the front desk staff told us they would come to the room to look at it but there really wasn't anything they could do about it. They never showed up and it was very hot. The window only opens 2 inches so that didn't help, Then about 3am we heard a very loud mechanical unit come on right next to our bed. It sounded like a plane engine next to our room. Front desk said they were full and could not give us another room. We didn't sleep at all that night due to noise and heat. Worst holiday inn I have ever stayed in.

Loud and rude!
I called the front dest about kids running and jumping on the bed above us on the 4th. Floor at 12:30 am. It sounded like an elephant running around. A male night clerk said, there was no one above us. He was lying. I told him there is kids jumping. He then said someone just checked in. Lie again, because it was going on for nearly an hour. I told him they been checked in. I asked if they would talk to the people in the room. He said he would check into it. I thanked him, with no response back to me he hung up. The noise continued throughout the night. As a guest, I expect better than being lied to, no shshampoo, a not so clean room, and a tirrble nights sleep. I never had that experience at the Hayett in Boise. Next time Ill go back there!

The whole time we were there the staff treated us like an inconvenience. We booked a room with a pull out sofa and it had no bedding on it. We were told repeatedly by the front desk to come get the bed ourselves. They eventually brought it to us and handed us a stack of linens. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where I had to make up my own bed before. Ridiculous. They also had no clean towels at the pool. It was a mess. They finally brought a small stack of clean ones after we told them they were out. Those went in a flash and I had to walk soaking wet through the lobby with my wet toddler to inform the front desk. Both times the staff seemed annoyed. These may seem like minor inconveniences, but the thing that made it terrible was the way the staff reacted. After a long day of travel I wanted a comfortable place for my family to stay. Instead, I felt like we had to beg for the basics like bedding. No one seemed happy to serve us or do their job and ultimately the experience left me in tears.

Good
Good hotel
The Holiday Inn Boise Airport is conveniently located right off the I84 and is close to both food and fuel. The front desk attendant (Tamera) was very polite and helpful, she put us in a different room that no pets had been in (allergies) and gave us easy directions to stores in the area. The room was large, with separate areas for sitting and sleeping, and included a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker (actual Keurig brand), a couch, desk and chair, iron and board, blow dryer, safe, and toiletries. The AC cycled on and off loudly during the night and there were some long hairs on the bed sheets, but it was otherwise clean. There is a pool and hot tub, but they need to police the area against alcohol use, as there was a drunk couple in the hot tub when we tried to take our kids swimming. Other than the pool incident, it was a nice hotel.
