Comfortable and convenient
Spacious comfortable room convenient to my activities. Good Indian restaurant right next door. I look forward to returning for one night between trains.

Lovely room
We very much enjoyed our stay, although the reception in the breakfast area was less than friendly,

Perfect location
Perfect location for exploring Montreal. Nice continental breakfast with fresh fruit and good selection of muffins, breads, and pastries. Room was very clean.

Good experience (except the wifi)
My wife and I stayed there for 6 days in a suite (large size with a whirlpool bathtub). Overall we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was excellent with good varieties of breads and cakes, but same on everyday, so got boring towards the end. The location is excellent, safe and vibrant, with lots of restaurants. What we didn't like is the wifi which is hit or miss based on where the room is. My colleague, who was also staying in the same hotel, got good wifi while mine was weak on most of the days. Initially we were assigned another room where the wifi is virtually non-existent, but we changed to a new room (where we stayed) and we still had problem with the wifi.

Very good
The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable and had all core amenities I needed for a three night stay. My room was in the modern extension at the back of the house separated off from the old house, which is where breakfast is served and reception is located. The old house is in need of a refurbishment because the smell of old carpets and furnishings overshadows the nice but basic buffet. Thankfully the smell isn’t around the modern block. For the price I was prepared to overlook having to go through the old house when coming and going and during breakfast. Especially as the nice spacious and more modern room is great. Unfortunately Montreal has a significant homelessness problem and this was apparent in this area, so be prepared to be generous to the many people living on the streets. If you are looking for reasonably priced comfort rather than high end service, this is the place to stay!
