Acacia Beachfront Resort, Wildwood Crest

When we arrived at the Acacia we were told that our room was cancelled because the Acacia management rented the entire hotel to a college group for the two nights we were to stay there. We had to find other arrangements. No one called us before we arrived as no message was left on our phone. The Acacia management told us that they tried to contact us but Hotel.com does not provide the hotel with sufficient information to contact patrons. We were forced to find alternative accommodations. The Acacia did direct us to an adjacent motel but the motel was barely sufficient. If this is the way Hotel.com operates then we will find alternative arrangements in the future. We were on the last leg of a nine day trip an having to find accommodations when arrangements had been planned previous to leaving home is not fun. We paid Hotel.com for our entire trip accommodations but the last motel we ended up at did not charge us what it would have cost at the Acacia. Does Hotel.com intend to refund the difference in cost between what we originally reserved and what we ended up with? This situation ended a perfectly wonderful trip. This is a case of money, renting an entire hotel, over honoring a commitment. Our reservations at the Acacia were made before the Acacia management decided to turn the hotel over to a bunch of college kids.

The room was spotless but the bed was rock hard.

It is an older hotel but very clean (even close to the beach!), staff is very pleasant and helpful and close to attractions! I would stay there again!!

We had an oceanfront 2 room suite. The view was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the sofa bed was NOT. Bathroom was in need of update, tub and sink drain didn't work. We didn't pay full price and only stayed one night so it was an ok visit. If we'd paid full price I would have complained and been terribly disappointed.
