There was no electricity for 2 days, no wifi for 3 days and my friends phone was stolen out of her hand steps from the hotel. Not a safe area, especially at night. The staff were lovely, but that’s the only good thing about this hotel.

Hotel was nice and not crowded. We loved the personal service. We were there at a time when there was a fiesta of Senor del Torrechayoc. It was noisier at night during the celebration. A 3 night stay.

They had issues with the rooms, at first thinking we had only reserved one room, instead of two. We paid for just one room the first night, then the next morning, we paid for three nights. I don’t speak Spanish and they don’t speak English, but they we’re demanding we pay more. We ended up leaving and I overpaid by an additional night to get them off my back. In the end, they ripped me off and charged double the advertised price. Perhaps stay elsewhere…

Rooms themselves are really good. Very comfortable beds, powerful shower and nice shower towels. Staff were a bit of a let down. We felt mislead on our second night as there was a big festival happening on the soccer pitch at the end of the road. They said it would end at 7:30 and it stopped at 3am. There’s no way the staff didn’t know this as half the town were there. We could have moved to a quieter end of town. It was also really noisy with drunk locals going home until the early morning the night before so we had two terrible nights sleep for our Machu Picchu hikes. We also arranged for an early breakfast on our first day and turned up to find the kitchen/diner in darkness and we were slightly late. The lady who was both the cleaner and cook was very accommodating though for our dietary needs. The reception is not manned 24hrs and they didn't give us a contact number incase of an emergency. Finally they leave the front door unlocked with no key to open/ unlock it which was really bad from a security point of view. We wouldn’t recommend this place.
