Enjoy winter strolls around the idyllic rolling fields that surround the cottage, or visit the nearby sandy beaches that hug the Norfolk coast.
After a breath of fresh air, cosy up in-front of the roaring wood burning stove and enjoy lunch made with the finest, freshest, local ingredients that can be bought locally. The Gunton Arms, just a short drive from Hawthorne is a celebrity haunt and offers a unique dining experience. A stroll around Gunton's deer park is a treat too.
Head to Cromer or the little known Overstrand beach where lunch at the cafe is a must, as is a visit to the fishmongers next door. During the summer months, take advantage of the cottage garden and make use of the barbecue. The garden is fully enclosed so perfect for the pampered pooches (and children) after a swim in the shared pool which sits next door to Primrose Farm Barn. There is a larger open area of grass within the complex for children and dogs to also enjoy.
Hawthorne Cottage really is a little gem. Whether you book it as a single cottage or fancy coming to Norfolk as a larger group, the other two cottages within the courtyard setting; Rainbow Cottage and Blackberry Cottage along with Primrose Farm Barn are also available to book. Ideal if you would like a family holiday yet want to enjoy your own space and privacy too.

Swimming pool and games room
Adjacent to the main building; Primrose Farm Barn, is a beautiful salt water indoor swimming pool and games area for you to enjoy during your stay. Private swimming times will be provided prior to your arrival. Children must be supervised at all times when using the pool.
