This was my first business trip (of many) to beautiful Padova. I picked the AC Hotel as I'd previously stayed at the AC hotel in Barcelona (which is awesome BTW!) and I am hugely loyal to the Marriott brand; IMHO, the Padova version is not the same :( It is situated in the middle of the motorway network (great if you love F1!).
It was a "comfortable" hotel, but sadly there are a few maintenance critiques. The toilet seat was broken. Check-out is midday and when I returned to my room (on check-out day!) the maid was already in the room. When I awkwardly told her that I wanted to get changed, she moved to cleaning the bathroom and I had to tell her that I needed the bathroom facilities too! Breakfast wasn't great either (unlike the awesomeness of the Barcelona counterpart!), so much so that depite having booked and pre-paid for breakfast, I decided to take the 10 minute walk to a fantastic local eatery called Gustoteca who served a delicious meal for less than €5!
On a positive, the check-in staff were better than amazing, providing local advice, swift check-in/check-out, booking taxi's, etc.
The ultimate question I usually ask is: Would I stay there again ? Sadly, the answer is no. But I still love you Marriott :)
