    Exceptional 10.0
Beautiful hotel with usual Ritz quality. Comfortable, great service very good food. You won’t regret staying here. The only issue we had was when we were getting our Russian visa, the hotel was slow to respond to our sponsor letter request and also did not put in the correct dates for us. We ended up having to reapply for the visa (more money and time) because we did not notice the wrong dates. You must put in the dates for your entire stay in Russia, not your hotel stay dates.

    Good 6.0
Not the usual Ritz — but roof top bar is 5 star
We are usually so impresssed with Ritz properties and have found them to be a welcoming addition to our travels. This one was slightly on the mediocre side. While the exterior, entry and main lobby were lovely, the room decor was outdated and a bit garish. The AC wouldn’t adequately cool the room during the unusually high Moscow temps (high 80’s during our stay) so we found ourselves stepping into the much cooler hallway to cool off. The mini bar wasn’t restocked during our entire trip and the roof top bar that was a main feature in advertising was closed 2 of the 4 nights. When open though, the view was truly magnificent. Also something that was a bit different and stood out as odd was that the lobby “greeters” were *always* women in their early 20’s, size 0-2, Caucasian, hair down to their waists, “perfect” facial symmetry. Just standing there smiling. Does the Ritz Moscow not employ any other body types, races or ages as greeters? While it was more funny than it was offensive, it did stand out as being out-dated and uninformed. Not a good optic for a world-class international hotel.
