We were happy with the location, and the staff was nice for the most part. The room we had was clean but older and rundown but the hotel staff kept the roooms very clean. We stayed for 6 nights and the first 3 the bed was so uncomfortable and we were on the second floor which our window was right next to a hostel which the people were noisy all night, in addition to being woke up at 8 am to construction on the above floor, I finally brought it up to staff and the girl was adamant with me that their website says they have construction taking place which is not true.I then went back to another girl later at the desk and complained and finally they moved us to the 8th floor which was remodeled. So for the last three nights we were in a new room with a super comfortable bed and that was newly renovated,(personally I think they should have compensated us for half the stay as we got half the room) .In addition their breakfast was food in a bag, same food everyday which for the last part of the stay we did not even bother to get a bag(not a continental breakfast). Also the pictures on the website with the eating area is not finished, so be aware that the hotel does not match all the pictures at this time.Lastly the best part was I complained on my last Expedia review and the hotel said they were working to mediate the issue after my 2nd day there which was a lie as well no one reached out to us I did, and was the one who came to staff.

The Staff are all very nice and super helpful. The rooms were decent but not really nice. The Hotel is very small and is located in a very busy, very noisy part of town. Not a lot of rest was had at night due to vehicle noise, loud people in the alley ways, and people in the apartments next door fighting and drinking. My room was 502 and the view was less than desirable. I was able to see a large power pole and several low income housing apartments and a few other nicer hotels. Overall I would say it wasn't a bad place to stay but you might want a hotel in a better location. If you are interested in proximity to the ocean this hotel was very close within 1 block walking distance. If you have a rental car then be prepared to pay $35 a day to have a valet park it for you or you can park at the Honolulu Zoo for $1.00 an hour. Just be aware if you park at the zoo your car could be vandalized like mine was. Working through the car rental company right now to pay for the damage out of my own pocket despite having insurance. Hopefully I get reimbursed.

Ok for a night or two but not a resort
This hotel is located just off waikiki beach and that is what you are paying for. Other than that there are really no amenities - even though you have to pay a $25 a day "resort fee" which seems to cover nothing more than a glass of pineapple juice on arrival. They have what looks like it will be a bar - someday - and kind of nasty breakfasts in a bag - no actual breakfast and no restaurant. So if you are looking for a resort environment this is not your place. Its in effect an upscale 2 star hotel. Room also had no towels when I arrived but that was quickly taken care of. On the plus side the location was great, the rooms were very quiet (they have quiet screens on the windows) and well designed, and the people who worked there were extremely friendly and helpful. Since I was there on business I did not really miss not having a bar/pool/amenities, but it would not be the place to stay for a family week on the beach.

Exceptional 10.0
I loved my stay here! The staff were extremely friendly, the location is close to everything, and my room was beyond relaxing. The cleaning was impeccable. Even on a couple days when I slept late and didn’t get out until the afternoon my room was still serviced by the time I came back. I will definitely stay again. I noticed quite a few reviews complaining about the resort fee. EVERY hotel here has a resort fee and EVERY other property I researched before booking had much higher fees. Yet another case of the entitled consumer placing blame on anyone but themselves for failing to read. All of the details were right there on Expedia at checkout! I had zero complaints! You’re in Hawai’i! Hopefully you won’t be inside for very long anyway. I walked/hiked everywhere! Typically about 12 miles every day this week. Everything was beautiful and can’t wait to come back soon. Ha. They may have a hard time getting me on the flight tomorrow.

MUST STAY! Clean, friendly staff, free breakfast!
I booked this hotel out of all other hotels in Honolulu because of their continental breakfast. I heard that Hawaii was expensive so any money that can be saved, I went for it. I'm glad that we chose this hotel since their staff was really really friendly and they had many items for rent at no cost. The mats you use for the beach, small and big beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas! They had it all! The rooms were clean and you can walk right down to the beach. I would give this hotel 4.5 stars. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the hotel was a little small. This caused the ocean view to not reach its full potential since the building was not high enough. But we did have an ocean view and it was still beautiful! I can't wait to go back!
