A very enjoyable experience at the Heritage and being a little distance from the town centre provided added peace and quiet. Good food and service

Okay but better places around
We came to check in at 3pm and was told our room was not ready, even though check in is 2pm. We asked how long so we could plan our day but was told that she would ask the manager. We were never told and she asked if we would like to wait in the restaurant or go for a walk. If offering the restaurant, I feel a drink voucher would have been beneficial, as we were waiting on your hotel. Everyday we would come back to the room at about 2ish for a rest and the room was never done. I had yo cal housekeeping to have it done. The room we booked was a ‘Garden view’ but it was a view of the car park exit. Beware of Room L114, as it’s not great. We had breakfast booked and it was abit strange that you had to sign a receipt noting costs and then you’re just told to get a table. It was busy at times, so we had to go one at a time to get our breakfast, so our table wasn’t taken. At checkout I was told I had to pay for a breakfast, which was annoying as it was all included and we had to wait for this to be confirmed. I think this place had a lot of potential but it lacks the standard of a hotel. Even small things like having rooms cleaned in time, slippers in the closet to go out on the balcony would be small wins. Would love to come back but I’m unsure as there are plenty of places to stay in Queenstown. The parking is also an issue. Maybe you should allocate spots to people, as it’s first in first served. People not even staying at the hotel are parking there.

Comfortable stay in Queenstown
Room was really comfortable and modern. The staff could not do any more for us. They were great. We paid for an upgrade to a lake view room and it was magnificent. Room service food was really delicious and all the meals are great value. We liked the fact that we were a lttle out of the rat race and the walk to town is quite a way. There is a regular bus though.
