The hotel was in a convenient location to commute to attractions like Arashiyama Bamboo Grove (the city bus stop was less than 500m away), Fushimi Inari or Nara Park (train from Sanjo Station). Staff was welcoming and helpful from reception to departure. I arrived an hour before check-in and thanks to their storage lockers, was able to leave my luggage and get started on my exploring of Kyoto without much delay or hassle! Similarly, I was able to store my luggage after check-out to get a couple more hours of sightseeing in before departing. The complimentary breakfast was nice to have before or after my morning adventures too.
