In Need of a Freshen Up
The apartment was a bit grubby & basically in need of a coat of paint & bathroom kitchen upgrade. Long cobwebs were on the roof & by the fridge. Advertised with wifi but you only get a 200mb limit per day - although we did get 2000mb for 7 days. Breakfast advertised with apartment but is only for one person. The coupons you are given show a cooked breakfast but it is a continental only. You have to pay extra if you want a nice coffee otherwise water is provided & Robert Timms coffee bags. As it was so cheap I don't know why they restrict it to one person per apartment. It costs $10 for each extra pers - go elsewhere or buy in your own. The upside, the apartment was big & had everything you would need. Other than cobwebs and worn look the hotel have made it look nice with paintings & furnishings as much as they can. We were in 505 which had a two door entrance (also 505a) 2 bed/2 bath but the config of the apartment was weird as there was a door leading to bedrooms from the open plan living area but once through it there was no door on the second bedroom so if you were staying with friends coming and going from the master bedroom you would always see others in their bed! No problem if you are a family. It had a very long good sized balcony & good views. No road noise due to its location. On the whole we did have a lovely stay and would recommend it but. Longest check in process we have ever encountered. Free ferry into town always good & lovely river walks!

The property is central to the city and you can catch the ferries right outside, which we loved. This is the second time that we have stayed at this motel and both times we have had trouble with the room key. The first time we were locked out of our room and had to go and get the key reset and this time, we could not get into the motel parking or the lobby after 6,30. There was no one in the reception and I had to put the car into the paid parking lot. I had to call the night manager to come and reset the key again so that we could get into the motel. When checking out I commented how we’d had to pay for parking and that this was the second stay that we had, had trouble with the key and the managers response was, oh well, that’s technology for you and said we must have had the key to close to our mobiles although my wife had said that they had been in the cardboard sleeve the whole time. The unit itself was beautiful and clean and very spacious and the views are amazing. The only criticism we would have would be the terrible shower heads, where you have to run around in circles to get wet. We do like this motel and would consider staying here again in the future.

Wifi issue-be on the alert
Very disappointed with the wifi-advertised as free wifi, but you only get a 200mb limit per day, we are not aware it until it runs out quickly on the first day (we have four people in the room), ask this with front desk and requires more, was told need to get 200mb voucher one by one (not care about guests number in the room and surely not care about free wifi ads in their website), if you have limitation, you should list it clearly in the ads and that will let customers make a proper decision whether choose to book your hotel in the first place. Even getting worse is that after several days struggle with poor wifi system, at the 2nd last day in our stay, when asking the wifi voucher, the other staff told us that in their system it has loaded 2000mb for our stay, what? why we were not given this initially???-Terrible service

Good location for those drive and don't
The location is quite good. It's easy to get to the Motorways to Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. It's also near the free ferry service that can get you into the city where parking fees are rocket high! And it's near to South Banks, my family and I walked from hotel to the night market and then took the free ferry back. The condition of the room is acceptable, pictures looks nice and new but they are a bit worn. Having said that, it's still good IMO and can't complain much. Room includes breakfast but it's really a simple one, expect cereals, small muffins and toast. They had problem with their coffee machine when I was there so provided instant ones. Depending on the room allocated, you can see Story Bridge and the marina. Was lucky to get that for my stay. It doesn't state on their website but they have washer and dryer inside the rooms. Wifi is provided but it's 2GB for 7 days and only 3 devices log in only.

Handy to the city, and close to eating facilities.
Have stayed at this establishment a number of times over the past few years, and I choose to stay here because of its closeness to the city, and also a close family member lives within walking distance. 2 great eating places, a bottle shop and story bridge hotel all within walking distance has always made it my first option when I am looking for accommodation. But bathroom facilities are badly in need of refurbishment, with tiling, bath and shower curtain, and terrible lighting way below par, and breakfast is now, only continental which was a disappointment. I visited friends who,we're staying at the Sofitel, and the price they paid compared for their visit and the facility was way superior to mine. And overall close to city and and restaurants etc, I would probably consider staying there in the future.
