    Comfortable but just doesn't flow
I had been intrigued to stay here . Great location and central . Amazing decor reflecting its past function. Layout elongated , curved and not straightforward ie easy , even for me to get lost and long long curved corridors. Amazingly you have to pay for wifi. .. Why ? I arrived great checkin procedure , up to room, investigated well stocked mini bar , opened , saw price then closed. 2 mins later I get a knock on the door asking if I had used anything from the minibar.. I had been in the room less than 10 minutes . Wonderfully comfortable stylish roo, great bed and amazing pillows. 4 am woken by flashing red ceiling light .. I ignored and then decided if there was a fire there would be noisy alarm . I then needed and had planned anyway to have a much deserved lie in til 9.30 am .. A very rare occurrence . At just after 9 am there was a tap on the door , room service coming to change my room.. I advised the apologetic maid was checking out at 12 . Breakfast served til 11am. Went at 10am.. No cooked breakfast left all eaten only sausages left , no eggs no bacon, no mushrooms no beans . Oh well I thought my fault for later start , go continental .. ONE. Bread roll left . Plenty cheese miso soup. Also not looked after at table no coffee or tea offered . I thought this was poor . Went for swim, large long narrow pool great for laps and great view houses Parliament and west London. Ova all nice stay , pleasant staff but operationally deficient

So comfortable, so posh, so convenient!
This hotel is spectacular. We visited London as family--two parents, two five-year-olds--and the London Marriott County Hall was the perfect hotel choice. It offered a room with two double beds for a reasonable price and an extraordinarily convenient location, which was enough to make it a great hotel for us. But we were really delighted by the room itself: Bright, clean, comfortable, and much more posh than I expected for a Marriott. As a bonus, it had such stylish decor that I want to use their decorator for my own home. The towels and bed linens were extremely comfortable and the toiletries were high-end. The room included a Nespresso machine *and* a separate kettle with coffee and tea selections that made my mornings so comfortable and warm. The only downside to the family-size rooms is that they are all interior-facing, so there are no views. But that was hardly a concern for us, since we were out and about most of the time. Big Ben, the London Eye, Waterloo Station, and Westminster Abbey are steps away, and double-decker buses stop right outside, so it's easy to get anywhere you want to go. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we are in London!

    Very good 8.0
    Expensive hotel with best location
I expected nothing less for an upper scale hotel like this, and it was a satisfying experience. The hotel is right on the South Bank, so we get to view Thames River from the room windows. The location can't get any better. Check-in experience was not great, as Front Desk seemed very confused and the room didn't get ready until almost 4PM (check-in is at 3PM). We HAD to follow up with several different staff on if several times to get our rooms and that's pretty much the only complain I had during my stay. The room itself is big and comfortable, and bedding is good too. In-room service selection was excellent and the food was yummy. We had breakfast/dinner at Gillray's a couple times during the stay and waitress Sanda was super nice and helpful! My child got lost at night in the hotel and the staff was able to bring her back to us very quickly, we are ever grateful for the staff.

    Gem in London!!!
This hotel was EXCELLENT in every way! we travel a lot, and we can say this has been one of our favorites hotels! It is our second time in London, first time stayed at a nice hotel at covent garden, but prefer this marriott! The service was outstanding! we were always greeted and asked if we needed something from the gentlemen at the door. The check in with Genny was super fast, She was very nice, professional and diligent, always smiling. She gave us many tips to move around and we had the room we wanted. The hotel itself is very beautiful and spacious. The rooms are big, neat bathrooms with good space too, comfy beds. The location is PERFECT!!! few steps for the london eye, and we bought the BIG BUS to move around and the stop is at the entrance of the hotel... super! we were steps of the london eye, big ben and westmister abbey. If we come back we will definetely stay here again.

    A perfectly located gem
Property is absolutely beautiful. Location is to die for our window looked out to Big Ben & The London Eye. The room was comfortable loved the bedding and plush white towels. The only negative was our experience with the hotel concierge. We asked for his help in booking tickets on the train to Paris and he literally told us it was too difficult to do, and sent us on our way. When we asked the front desk for help with booking those tickets they told us that the concierge would be the one to help us with it. It’s unfortunate that the concierge was unwilling to assist us. We ended up having to purchase the tickets at the train station where the standard seats were sold out and our trip was double the price due to the lack of help we received. Leaving us with a bad taste in our mouths.
