Does it get cleaned???
No one cleans the room daily, so it’s a big issue when 5 or more people stay in the same room for a period of time

10/10 Exceptional

Perfect short stay place for me
i had a short stay for 2-3 days. The location and price was ideal for my stay. Each dorm has a bathroom, they provide you a towel. The rules are fair for anyone staying who isn’t looking to party where they’re staying. The rules are fair for everyone staying there. I received a roll of toilet paper when I arrived and a towel. There’s wifi. This was my first hostel visit and I didn’t feel at risk at all. I met security guard Glen on my first night and he was a gentleman and ran the place well. I chose a top bunk and got lucky to have one facing east and west like I sleep at home so I didn’t have any trouble adapting. There’s plenty of chargers for your phone and a main floor with a kitchen and television. I did my morning meditations in the that main floor. I inspected my bunk for bedbugs and lice before sleeping. It’s overall a really clean experience - it seems like they have a cleaning routine that occurs on the days of the week I didn’t stay. I had chill dorm mates too so thay contributed to my good experience. Everyone there was informative and we even watched some comedy shows as a building at one point. There’s not much else I can say, I stayed for 3 days. The check out process is just leaving the place but I did a little extra and left toothpaste for my dorm that i couldn’t take on my flight home and made my bed. Be street smart and the neighborhood shouldn’t be any trouble to you. God bless you. YHWH from on high 🙌

2/10 Poor

Price is low for multiple reasons
dudes working security/checking you in are the nicest guys on the planet, straight up have to deal with non-stop BS all night long. They are patient and super friendly they get a solid 10/10. of my 2 night stay I stayed for 40 minutes. I chose to sleep in my car in Vermont Park as opposed to sleeping @ the Hostel if that says anything. I suggest making/using a fake ID for check-in (as i did) then pay cash. They take a picture of your ID which I had heard about in advance so I just made a fake Idaho once and poorly laminated it. Each room has its own keypad lock which is rad so if youre with a group of 4 you know your stuff will be safe. The rooms are hot as hell, there are 2 outlets per room and a bathroom which hasnt been cleaned in god only knows how long. the guys working/check in: 10/10 cant say enough nice stuff about these guys, just a wonderful bunch of dudes. actual unit: 1/10 dirty, cluttered, bunk beds are made for toddlers (i pulled mine down climbing up and i weigh 170lbs) mattress pads are just lawnchair pads and blankets are apparently covered in something itchy. DO NOT SLEEP HERE. quiet: 1/10 in a not great part of town in a pretty run down building, lots of yelling/fights, tennant noise + street noise. safe: 2/10 had a dude threaten to kill me and my family as I walked by him (i dont have a family, but still). I walked 5 blocks from where I parked, charged my phone, brushed my teeth and splashed some water on my face and bailed.

6/10 Good

Good for sleep
Check in guard is super sweet always respectful and vwry helpful. There was another man he had long semi curly hair in a ponytail apparently he worked there was super rude. He saw me waiting never said hello even once i addressed him. He was doing inspections of the rooms. I had just walked in barely set my stuff down. He knocked heard a little "manager" and barged in not even waiting three seconds to open a door to a "All female room" I thankfully had not begone to change, I would have been livid. Told me to excite the room "he had to take pics for the owners" no "please" rudely stared at me. When, I looked at him he then said like it justified his rudeness. "We inspect twice a day" i had a problem with how he did the inspection not the inspection itself. Completely arrogant. The voicemail box was full so you cant leave a message for either of the owners.
