We really want to make special mention to the great customer service provided to us by Ciara in the restaurant. Her recommendations, friendliness and suggestions for what to see and do in Galway were just great. We thoroughly enjoyed our three course meal at the restaurant. Thanks very much Ciara. Just one point to note the rooms are beautifully renovated.

Don’t miss Galway!
The hotel was well positioned to explore the vibrant town and the surrounding area. Friendly helpful staff, the room was clean and the property is a about a ten minute walk to town centre.

We received an upgrade to a lovely suite which was much appreciated. The room was great with everything clean and in good working order. The only issue to be addressed is room service. The hours published are from 12.30 pm to 10.00 pm daily, however when I called at 7.00 pm the stressed out response was "too busy and no RS available". I waited until 8.00 pm and called back but the phone just rang out. This is a tourist group hotel and I appreciate the bistro was busy however not coping with RS customers is a failure of process and resource. A property cannot call itself 4 or 5 star unless there is RS. There is a bistro on site but apart from that you cannot access much within reasonable walking distance. We ended up with a pizza at 8.30 pm as there was nothing else open. I raised my concerns with the duty manager at checkout for his information.

Beds were like sleeping on boards and the pillows were too flat and if you used two pillow it made them too high. No top sheet. Rooms get a bit hot and there is no way to cool down apart from opening a window. Renovations were being done which woke us up at 7.30am.
