Very good 8.0
Great location off Cromwell Rd
The location of this hotel is excellent being just off Cromwell Rd and a quick 5 minute walk to Gloucester Rd tube station on the Piccadilly line from LHR. The rooms in this hotel are very good with apartment style facilities like a microwave/stove, stove top, good size fridge etc. the bathroom is a good size. Overall the room facilities and cleanliness were excellent. Unfortunately for me three things let this hotel down. 1. The person/s in the room above me were up until late and then up again around 6am and you could hear every footstep above which made for a crap sleep. 2. A 4pm check-in is ridiculous and the latest check in I have ever had anywhere. 3. The check out process was slow. No staff were on hand to recover my bags when I went back to collect them and had to wait 15-20 minutes. The upside is if you get a good quiet room, the room itself is very good and the location excellent.

Been a loyal guest but now no more...
I always stay in this hotel whenever I visit London but this time...I booked 4 nights as usual and the room Ingot when check in was a disable room. The room is big but I got a lot of problem when stayed: - The first night, the electronic door had been mul-fuctioned at midnight and I could not be able to enter the room after laundry! I went to the reception and the gentleman gave me the new keycard but still could not open the door so I had to be back and asked him again if he could come with me to open the door. He seemed moody and while he brought the equipment to fix the door, he always complained that no one’s at the reception. While he fixed the door, I had to help him and he thrown everything e.g. bag, door opener in the floor in front of me and my friend withbhis anger. This is how the reception did to the guest?!? Anyway door open after reset and he still complaint as it was my fault to have the door lock...hello...I was outside with my pyjama collected my laundry and back to the room and I cannot enter! It’s cold! - Second, the room had water leeking on the bathroom & living room ceiling...and the floor was over with the water. They change me the new room but took long time till I needed to go out and ask for the solution. I and my friend was upset with the service and room I got this time. no more stay with this hotel after many years I have been a loyal guest. My New Year has been ruin...thank you.

Staff lovely, accommodation faded glory!
Check-in great, room initially looked good, however room above having shower and water started coming through ceiling via the light above basin. Provided maintenance man, however we did not want to stay in a room where water and electricity was coming together. Reception responded and changed our room gracefully with no quibble, in fact put us into a level up. Unfortunately this room was by main road so little sleep.... the whole place is faded glory, our second room clearly had experienced damp, the paint was showing aging signs and the room was not as clean as one would like. The second room was suitable for someone in a wheel chair, which is great, however the water from the wet room shower did not drain well, and puddled on the bathroom floor. Lovely staff however the accommodation did not stand up.

Exceptional 10.0
I stayed here for a few days in the fall. The rooms were HUGE (almost as large as my apartment) and certainly larger than any other hotel where I've stayed in London before. The rooms were modern and well-taken care of. The bathrooms had lovely L'Occitane products for use. The hotel is a four-minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station, and the area is very safe. I went out for late walks around midnight and felt completely safe. There are also lots of taxis passing by, so it's easy to catch a ride somewhere. Only two gripes: -Although they have a nice selection for breakfast, the staff put out very small quantities (e.g. when the croissants are empty, they'll put out 2-3 more), and then they don't notice when the it's empty again. For the hot foods, they were empty about one-third of the time. At one point, a manager came through and pointed out all of the foods that needed to be restocked. Either put out more food when you're replenishing, or pay more attention so that you never run out. -The heat controls in the rooms were not intuitive. I could set the heat to either full-blast (too hot) or off (too cold), but I couldn't get the right balance. Maybe post some instructions on the walls or re-calibrate the heaters? I would probably stay here again, but I'd likely look for more breakfast options elsewhere.

Great location, 5 mins away from V&A museum and Nat History Museum. Close to South Kensington, lots of F&B options, just a few mins walk away. So close to 2 train stations and able to walk towards Hyde Park. Great Waitrose store just minutes away, perfect for stocking up the room fridge. Room amenities were great, kitchenette very clean, housekeeping ladies were great. Dryer and bread toaster were kind of faulty. Front office kindly provided a room early check-in. Negatives: Unfortunately we were greeted by piles of clean blue laundry bags just outside our room corridor each day. Not a pleasant sight to look at. Bedsheets were old and stained.
