All you need for a simple stay
Everything you need, quiet, comfortable, close to downtown. There is no front desk but you have some recommends in the room provided in a book about the property. When the hosts are around in the morning for breakfast they are knowledgable and helpful.

My stay there was ok the room in my view was way to small. It was very diffucult to move around the room as a whole. I spent all of my time in the room as it is winter Not a good experience

Loved the location, cozziness and cleaness of the room.Very quiet. Lots of windows and bright.Comfortale bed. Friendly staff. Easy and worry free check-in. Well explained and no confusion. Would rent a room at the Gower Guest House again. Enjoyed my stay. Thanks!

Loved this place! For the price you have everything you could need :) Walking distance to town and the bars on George st, clean, quiet and helpful 24 hour number for staff.. Our first night we came back at 11:30 pm and we'd forgotten the number for the keypad to get in- we called and they helped not minding at all how late it was! Also, to stay in the loft.. if you can walk without issues upstairs- dont be lazy and book the loft! Yes, it's 3 flights up, but they're not long flights and honestly we had the absolute best view and on our own floor. The doors are thin so we loved having the extra privacy and you see over the top of the jelly bean houses to the water and signal hill in the distance. The shower is in an alcove (no door) and the sink/toilet is separate with a door. Me and my husband didn't mind at all and it was nice to have the sink/toilet separate so we weren't on top of each other getting ready but if you want/need privacy getting our of the shower this wouldn't work. The toilet room is very small but we're not large people so we didn't mind. Downsides were there wasn't body wash or conditioner- only shampoo.. We used the oatmeal facial bars for body wash since we brought our own face wash and they were a good fix! Also we used the iron and the ironing board doesn't have a pad on it so unfortunately, it left little X's on my husband's dress shirt so I'd recommend putting a towel down to iron. Overall, we will definitely stay here again if in the area!
