Cinque terre visit
The hotel is very simple, definitely not 4 stars, it reminds motels in us…it was ok for short stay, plus, we expected that from other reviews so there was no expectations gap. We picked the hotel for the location and parking and it was a good choice. We stayed in superior room on 7th floor and the views were stunning. Bare in mind that the window is not too big and it’s not possible to fully open it. Terrible hot water pressure in the bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located near the marina, short walk to the old town and about 1.5 km from train station. If your are going to 5 terre you can take boat or train. The parking is in a garage near the hotel, about 2 minutes walk. Not too bad. You must stop at the hotel and pick up parking card first.

Staff very unhelpful
I had a number of issues while I was checking in, one being how the receptionist kept answering the phone whilst trying to check me in. He did this on three times and apologised each time. I found this to be extremely rude i’m not at the level of customer service expected for NH hotel. Very very disappointed.

Disappointed in NH La Spezia!
The water out of the facet was brown - disgusting. The front desk was "market deaf" in that we complained about the water being brown and they acknowledged there was a problem. Then they were nice enough to say we never paid for breakfast - we had 2 rooms for $400 ($200/each)!! So we had to pay an additional 45 Euro for breakfast. So needless to say, very disappointed in this hotel. We stay 200 nights a year on business in hotels all over North America - would never stay here again - they simply did not care. We have been to Italy over 80 times.
