Very disappointed in the service we received.
The Hotel was terrific, however you need to be aware there are homeless wandering around, panhandling. As we went from the parking lot to the front door, this was very unnerving. The young man’s attitude at the counter was abysmal (S. McIntyre). The hotels policy that requires the person making the reservation to be the person that checks in needs to changed. My wife made the reservation and I attempted to check in and was turned away. I know that you have corporate clients who have assistants who make reservations for them, are you going to tell me that the assistant is required to show up at your front desk and check in for their boss, this policy needs to change. Additionally we paid for 2 nights of parking in the secure lot, displayed our permit issued by Mr McIntyre his 9”s look like 4’s so we were ticketed. After we checked in we went to our room which we read as being 214 only to discover that the room number was actually 219. The facility was very nice, our experience was pathetic.

We love to stay at the Montvale hotel for our anniversary. We choose to stay local in Spokane, and the Montvale hotel is always pur first choice, its very clean, and service is outstanding. And the location is great! We made reservations at the Guilded Unicorn for our anniversary dinner, and its perfect, you dont even have to walk outside (it was actually raining outside), its in the old boiler room basement area of the hotel. The hotel and restaurant are a perfect atmosphere, It really makes you feel special with such a unique and personal environment.
