Uh
My bathroom light wouldn’t switch off, do because of its position in relationship to the bedroom, i couldn’t sleep as the room was flooded with light. When I woke in the morning to do some work, the electricity in my room was off. I have written to the manager but I have never received a reply s the room smells damp, I don’t think the room I was in should be used for guests

Ok
It is a good hotel if you are staying for a couple of nights. I think it needs a reform. In my room there was this infiltration on the ceiling. And also if you are staying in the shared bathroom it is a little annoying because the third floor bathroom is really small, but it's clean. The worst thing for me it was because it is really NOISY!! Omg, I feel better because I have a deep sleep but seriously, if you are going with kids or wants to relax, don't go there. The door is so heavy that if someone is coming back during the night, you'll probably hear it. And the sounds of the street too, it seemed to me that the window was open but it wasn't!

Disappointing
I had been a bit reluctant to book this hotel having read some of the reviews but thought I’d chance it. Basement room - not a problem for a one night stay. What was disappointing was the paint peeling off the walks everywhere, the mouldy shower curtain, the layer of dust over everything, the sticky residue in the mug and the noise of other guests in the hotel late at night. The window to the bathroom also didn’t lock and from a safety/security perspective this was less than ideal. The towel rail despite being turned on did not heat up and the bathroom was very cold as a result. It was fine, certainly not the worst place I’ve stayed in and I can cope with a bit of peeling paint, mould and a general shabby/tired feel, but if you can’t then I wouldn’t recommend booking The Washington.

little tired looking but in a ideal position
We stayed at the Washington for four night, it was a little tired looking but ideally situated in a reasonable area of Bristol and only 15 minutes walk into Town, to Bristol Zoo, the harbour and the Clifton suspension bridge. The breakfast was well cooked and there was a good choice even though you may have to wait for a table. The main issue with this place is getting a parking space as there are only a few available

Poor 2.0
Doors weak locked and everything squeaks
Very poor wifi internet. Hotel is very old and door are very weak locked and unsafe. Everything squeaks in this hotel and doors slams.Very thin walls and you can hear everything from the other rooms. Breakfast is good, english breakfast with some fresh fruits and cheese. Parking is small but with gate and video cameras. Very bed smell inside and bed very unconfortable and dirty carpet.
