Very good 8.0
Small boutique hotel in Soho
Stayed with family for 4 nights. The hotel is very unique in terms of decor - quirky as other guests have accurately described. Suites were very nicely appointed. The Rikrak ((Kit Kemp) ammeneties were terrific. Breakfast at the restaurant was fantastic with even better service. Freshly made with the finest ingredients. Many gluten free options available as well. Location is close to Oxford Circus and Carnaby Street. However accessing the hotel is a bit sketchy. Richmond Mews entrance is surrounded by infill construction. Waldour exit is next to a pub which has abundant evening traffic which on many nights obstructed entrance back into the hotel - yay... outdoor drinking. Concierge service is hit and miss at best. The team reached out to me to arrange transfer from LHR but after my correspondence and flight details were provided, no further contact was made on their end - I even had my roaming on just in case they wanted to reach me once I'd landed! Not a problem - ample transfers available from Heathrow. Check in was average at best. Arrived early, came back at advised check in time and was told room was not ready. Again, been there done that - however no one went out of there way to advise when it would be ready or how they would let us know when it was. Apart from the restaurant staff, the remainder of the front staff seemed aloof. Again, just my opinion.

Fabulous hotel, friendly staff, wonderful location
We booked a Luxury room and it was a good size for two people. We changed floors after the first night ( originally the yellow theme room) and both rooms were great, with huge windows to allow light in. We wanted a room on higher floor, so managed to get one on the 3rd floor vs 1st after the first night (blue theme room). Bathrooms were of a decent size with 2 usable pedestal sinks. Loved the closet’s set up as well. They asked us not to unpack, so we left everything packed for the next morning and they moved us on their own. That was a wonderful surprise. Rooms are fabulously designed with actual thought given to how guests use the room. Everything is clean and comfortable. No sound from other rooms, or at least we heard none. We had added breakfast to the booking which was really great. Fresh fruits, plus all assortment of continental as well as made to order Breakfast. Glad that we took other reviewers advice and added BF to our booking. We are Vegan, vegetarian and they had a wonderful selection. Also, it turned out to be cheaper when you buy it at the time of booking. We like the location of it and in spite of being in the heart of Soho, it is on a quiet cul de sac. If we go back to London, which we do every year, we will definitely stay here. Loved their Shampoo and conditioner as well. Cannot say enough good things about it All in all, it was a fabulous stay and did not disappoint. Thank you.

5-star hotel with 5-star service
My adult daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights in late-May. The hotel is tucked down a small dead-end street so it's just out of the hustle bustle of Soho. Very appealing and colorful decor which was perfect for our girls trip. The deluxe room was spacious and clean with a walk-in closet (!), pull-out couch, coffee table, small table and chairs, desk, and entryway table. The king sized bed was heavenly and comfortable although we would have loved a top sheet instead of just a minimalist comforter which left us sweaty in the middle of the night. The bathroom was spacious with 2 sinks, a tiny shower (that leaked badly), and a large luxurious bathtub. Room service was friendly, efficient, relatively affordable, delicious, and vegetarian friendly. Housekeeping was top-notch and very attentive. Our only complaint was the mini bar. It was literally stuffed with expensive drinks and goodies that weren't complimentary, including the water, which was a bit of a turn off considering the price of the room. Overall our experience here was positive and we recommend this hotel. This was our third trip to London and we like to stay in a different area each time. While we adored the hotel, we weren't as fond of the crowded area despite its cool retro history.

Good 6.0
Let me start by saying I love the Soho.... but...
Whenever I go to London, the Soho Hotel is my first choice. The rooms are clean & a nice size, the hotel is in a great area accessible to most things by foot yet slightly off the beaten path tucked away. However, this last stay in early June was marred by construction next door. I was awakened by 8am every weekday morning of my stay by a jackhammer. It was not continuous, but it was enough that when I'd try to fall back to sleep it would start again. If you choose to stay here, I'd encourage you at ask about the construction situation (looks like it will be ongoing for a while) and, if you do stay, request a room in the back. I was in room #412 which was right by the construction and would encourage you to request something on the other side of the Hotel. Other than that, I love the Soho Hotel, altho I'll probably stay elsewhere when I go back later in the year.

In the middle of everything, yet peaceful and calm
We stayed at The Soho Hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday with our two children. The hotel is steps away from the joyful chaos of theatre, restaurants and shopping, yet is secluded and tucked away its own quiet oasis. In addition to offering a restful stay, the hotel offered thoughtful and attentive service, including bringing milk and cookies to our children at night. The rooms were spotless and aesthetically appealing, with nice touches such as heated bathroom floors and towel racks. We dined in the hotel's restaurant for breakfast each morning which had a full and varied menu. The tea service in the afternoon is noteworthy as well. The concierge was very helpful in arranging restaurant reservations and travel. We will be back!
