Hardly a 2 star hotel
We were in rooms close to the road, though we asked about those further away the 'manager' was told us the rooms there were hot because of the afternoon sun- not so. The room wasn't clean ; the airconditioner was broken; the wifi only worked in the tiny lobby area; however on the positive side we were given wine glasses even though they weren't clean. Poor value for the money we paid. Extremely disappointing.

Nice Family Hotel
This is a no-frills hotel, but it is clean and the owners are nice and accommodating. There is an amazing beach area that is private to the hotel, and honestly, I'd come here for that any day before paying for "amenities". It was quiet, clean and my family and I had the fire pit to ourselves and it was a wonderful get away. The wifi is not strong, and there is no cell service (not Verizon or Metro at least), so don't rely on your phones or computers to work.

Nice area but...
There was a coffee pot in the room, like most places, but no coffee available. Wifi was barely working. Room was old but clean for the most part. Very pretty area and a short walk to the beach. Not sure I'd stay there again for over $100.

Affordable place to stay in Fort Bragg
My family and I used this hotel to stay at for a half-marathon race a few miles south in Mendocino. While not a luxury hotel, it fit our needs just fine with a shower, clean beds and lots of space. Plus there was a nice Thai food restaurant right across the parking lot.

A lovely little oasis
This is a large hotel complex. One building is near the highway, there are 2 other buildings set back for a little more quiet. Our room was in the back - one level motel type room - but the room was nice and large. Larger than a regular room, I think. We had 2 full sized beds. The mattresses weren't high quality but they were comfortable enough. The linens on the beds were very old but clean. The little table they had in the room was broken/falling apart but still worked well enough. The bathroom was fine. It had only a shower (not a tub) and we had what we needed. There was a sliding glass door on the back side with a cute little grassy area. We threw the doors open to let the room air out. It had a heavy air freshener smell and our family doesn't do well with perfumes. Basically It's just old and tired. I think the owners are a family who are trying hard to make it a pleasant stay, though. There are a couple tennis courts on the property, and a short little trail down to a lovely little private beach for the hotel guests. I asked the front desk about travel directions and she was quite helpful.
