Exceptional 10.0
I like the location a lot - 5-minute walk to Wan Chai station, 20-minute walk to Central/Hong Kong station and pier. Also, the view from my view was spectacular overlooking Kowloon and the bay. The layout of the room is functional with the exception of the bathroom door almost right next to the front door/foyer area. If you or the housekeeper forget to close the bathroom door, you run right into it from the entrance. Perhaps it can be changed to a pocket door instead someday. I liked that the room has ample electric plugs, has a safe, minibar and complimentary tea/coffee/bottled water. The bathroom is spacious and well layed out. The hotel is generous for supplying extra amenities like comb, dental kit, shoe polish kit, sewing kit in addition to the standard amenities like shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion, and shower cap. I especially appreciate the hair dyer and the scale (not to watch my weight while on vacation but for my luggage when I’m packing!). The toilet was clean and flushed efficiently. The shower is compact but functional. I couldn’t get the rain shower to work but that’s my fault because I couldn’t be bothered to ask. The front desk, concierge, housekeeping, room service and the rest of the staff were cordial, professional and helpful. My stay was made even more special when they delivered a cake and card for my birthday. I was traveling alone and was waiting to meet a friend for dinner when it came. I was really touched. Thanks so much!!!!

Very good 8.0
Centrally located with good view
We stayed here for 4 nights in April 2017 - splurged a bit for a view of the harbour - we thought it was totally worth it. Loved looking over towards Kowloon. Of course, the higher the floor the better. And try to get a room facing towards the ICC instead of more east. The room itself was very clean and comfortable - though a bit on the smaller side, especially the foyer and bathroom, was a bit crowded. They also did not have nightly turndown service, unless you asked I believe. They only cleaned the room and freshened it up once a day. Modern room with all the amenities you need. The hotel itself was in a nice location, close to the Wan Chai MTR station - about a 5 min walk, all across footbridges and covered overhead, so no need to worry about rain or stoplights for the traffic underneath. Overall - enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Exceptional 10.0
Just fabulous
We stayed 4 nights in a Harbour view room on the 25th floor - yes there was construction, no noise was not a problem. The room is not huge but very comfortable for two of us. The shower is most relaxing. It was clean and serviced by very friendly Staff each day. The staff of this hotel are its best asset - from check in to the end of our stay nothing was too much trouble ... the front desk staff and the navigators particularly helpful. The breakfast has options for everyone ... believe me! The location was great - 8 min walk under cover on walkways to the MTR and close to the star ferry. Great for conferences too as it is connected to the centre. There Is a free bus to and from the central railway station. Definitely would return!

Good 6.0
The rooms are very noisy. When we checked in, there was a party going on in the room exactly above our room and we could hear each and every thing that was going on in the room above ours. This was very disturbing especially when we were trying to sleep at 11:30 PM. On calling the guest service team, the hotel staff immediately agreed to change our room onto the 24th floor. This room was much quieter but we could still hear different noises from the room above ours in the morning. The noises were so loud and prominent that we could say that the room above ours was being cleaned. The rooms need to be more sound proof in a hotel like renaissance. Overall, service is great, staff is polite and the rooms have great views.

Poor 2.0
I ended up staying at the Sheraton due to issues in the streets re the government. It’s all over the paper and news. For my safety I stayed on Kowloon island. I called Expedia and you refused to give me a refund. I will never never ever use your site again and I will tell everyone I know on social media. I would have thought this reason was legit and you would care about the safety of your customers. If you value me as a customer you would give me my money back. I have stayed in that hotel for over 15 years. It’s a great hotel. This situation was a one off and I am blown away re how you treated it. Todd
