Close to the shrine and that’s it
Be careful. Nothing in the room information says there’s a $300 bond once you arrive. It is however in very small print in an email you get after. Also after you pay almost $600 you then have to pay $15 for parking. The main part of the room itself looks very nice. However the bed is hands down the worst bed I’ve ever slept in. Both my wife and I still have sore backs and hips from the terrible mattress. The couch was also very uncomfortable even just sit on. The tiles around the bath/shower had black mould, as did the roof. There was also grout missing from the plughole on the floor, and as the plughole was reseced it left a very sharp edge around the tiles. The room was very noisy even with the windows closed. From the 10th floor you can hear cars doing burnouts, people fighting on the street, and even crickets. Even though the car park is high if you have a long vehicle like a dual cab Ute you’ll almost have to touch the wall and you will still be hanging 3 feet into the road. When we complained we were told that the plughole was standard features as well as the mattress. No refund or discount was offered as this was the standard of the room. When I commented on the matteress I was told it is standard in all the rooms and most hotels have those. I stay in hotels hundreds of times a year and I have never had one like that

So Much Potential, But Such A Let Down
In all high-end hotels, you can have all the trimmings and frills that make a stay nice - but first of all, they must have the basics. Sadly, Quest on Dorcas failed on the most basic - a terrible night's sleep - two nights in a row. In a weird decision, Quest have designed the hotel that the outdoor air-conditioned units are on the small balconies. What makes it even weirder, the air-conditioner unit on your balcony isn't for your air-conditioner - it is for your neighbours. Alas, the outdoor air-conditioned unit is right beside the bedroom window (that looks onto the balcony), and its loud - seriously loud. For two nights, my fiancee and I were awake most of the night whilst the outdoor air-conditioner unit cycled on and off (just remember its not even our air-conditioner - otherwise we'd just turn it off). We even tried leaving the TV on to drown out the noise of the air-conditioner unit. Alas, it didn't really work. Its a shocking design which destroyed any enjoyment as you are left tired and irritable having been wide awake since 2:30am.

Disappointed
We changed hotels to be with friends who had stayed here previously. The hotel was aware we were traveling together & assured us that we would be allocated rooms on the same floor. When we arrived we discovered we had be put in the worst room possible ( the floor led to the car park) with a view into the adjacent office building; while our friends were on a completely different floor, on a much higher floor. Very upsetting & inconvenient! We were there for 2 nights & when we asked for another small sachet of milk were told there was only one issued per stay ! Yet the coffee/tea was replenished !???? We were hugely disappointed with the whole experience!

Very good 8.0
Room with a view
Couldn't get the door open in the car park to access back inside, so had to walk 2 levels down the ramp. Receptionist told us door is hard to open - had to 'push hard!' Found it strange that the 2nd bedroom had best view, access to balcony & private ensuite. Main bedroom just had connection to main bathroom. Should be other way around (?) Don't be fooled by bottles of water next to beds. They are NOT complimentary as I assumed (should have worn my glasses!) Receptionist should have mentioned this promo. Not told or info in rooms about any additional facilities eg. Pool, gym, food etc. (?) Room was spacious, clean, ample facilities & great views from every window.

Great location
Room and bathroom areas were nice and clean, one of the lounge chairs should have been replaced years ago. Room was quite dark though as the building next door was very close and overshadows the hotel. 3rd floor, no view at all from the balcony. The balcony area had obviously been missed from the cleaning schedule, it was pretty dirty. I found the beds really comfy but my friend thought they were too firm. Having 2 bottles of water was a nice surprise until we realized that we had to pay for them!! Bit rich when you pay $240 a night!! Maybe a jug of cold water in the fridge would be nice. Great location for where we were going. Staff were warm and welcoming Would I recommend...... Yes, but maybe ask for a higher floor.
