I would have given this property a five star rating but would rate it only as two star. It is a brand new and clean hotel. My room had floor to ceiling glass window. It blocked all noise from the street. However the AC (PTAC) in the room was extremely noisy and could not be shut off. I could not sleep the entire night due to this noise. I complained about this the next morning and they promptly sent a technician. He informed that the AC is the only source of ventilation for the room and it usually can't be shut off. However, he configured the PTAC so that it could be turned off. Now, the room quickly got very stuffy due to the lack of ventilation. It would be very difficult to spend the night in such a room. When I notified the front desk that such a room was unacceptable, they offered another. However, that room had an identical PTAC unit with the same problem. Finally, I cut my stay short from 4 nights to just 1 night and checked out. The hotel gave me a refund for only 2 nights, despite explaining the problem well in time and requesting for a 3 night refund. The hotel management claimed that the PTAC units have been tested to be acceptable! I wonder what the jarring sound the PTAC compressor made each time it turned on would measure on a decibel meter!
