A good, family-friendly hotel. Staff was courteous and helpful. Rooms were no-frills, but offered all we needed (who travels to a new city just to stay in a hotel room anyway?). Indoor and outdoor pools were great for kids. Hotel location itself is convenient to Biodome, Botanic Garden, and Insectarium. Lot offers plenty of no-hassle parking, which enabled us to stick to public transit via the Viau station on the green line (12-15 minutes from the hotel, depending on the walking speed of your group). From Viau, you're another 15-20 min. or so from downtown sights and restaurants. Our only critiques: 1) breakfast options in the area are sparse, so you're limited to the hotel, a boulangerie 8-10 min. away, or waiting to eat until you get downtown; 2) the bathrooms inside the rooms do NOT contain sound well, so if someone flushes in the middle of the night or early in the morning, everybody wakes up.
