10/10 Exceptional

A beautiful property which is right on the lake. Unfortunately only stayed for 1 night. My room(superior) number 21 on the 1st floor was a good size and the bathroom is completely new and convenient. The bed was hard for me (my husband didn’t mind it)and pillows and linens not very luxurious. They gave us a beach bag with towels which we could take down to the lake. The staff were very helpful and a shout out to Medí who greeted us and brought our bags up to the room. So friendly! Note: there is no lift. Breakfast buffet was varied and we could eat outside enjoying the view. 25 euros for b’fast.

The Abbaye is in a particularly beautiful location next to the lake. The hotel is very high-quality with excellent dining, and there are other good, if expensive, restaurants in the village.

We had a wonderful time here. You get a 5 star service with a picturesque view over the lake and a private beach next to a Michelin star restaurant. We will definitely come back.

The Abbaye is a great venue with amazing views of the lake and is so peaceful. We had a fabulous room with views of the lake and mountains, long balcony, comfortable bed everythingyou need in the room. The staff were great helpful and approachable. The Spa facilities are good we had it to ourselves as this is out of season. We had a lovely 4 day stay.

6/10 Good

property was great, beautiful stretch of lake. good breakfast..front desk staff was less than helpful, a few were downright rude… made you feel bad about asking for things, like you were bothering them. However, outdoor bar staff was wonderful!

8/10 Very good

Absolutely stunning location right on Lake Annecy. Took about 25-30 minutes to drive to Annecy itself. Rooms relatively simple but very comfortable beds and perfectly well appointed. Staff all very friendly. Only disappointment is that bar food options were limited to cheese/charcuterie boards - this left us with limited options with one pregnant person and one small child. It would have been very helpful to have a couple more options for food so that we could have eaten in the hotel with our young daughter without needing to book the gastronomique restaurant at €80pp - the menu at the time of our stay didn’t really take our fancy, although I’m sure it would have been delicious. I expect this situation is improved in the high season when the bistronomique restaurant opens. In the end we walked into town and ate at Cafe de Place, which was a lovely authentic restaurant.

Stunning. Will definitely return. The amenities and restaurants on site leave something to be desired but the lakefront and pontoon make up for it.

This place is a hidden gem even in the rain. Beautiful views surrounded us. The view from our room was amazing. The attractive style of the hotel made us feel very cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful. We rented e-bikes on property and cycled the lake trail. So fun!! Wish we’d allocated more than one night. I don’t see how you could be disappointed especially in the warmer months to use the lake amenities. Hope to return.
