We love this property and returned for our family vacation. The staff is very friendly, service is top notch and the location can’t be beat! They’ll transport you up/down the hill (via golf cart) where you can easily access different shops and restaurants. Spa is nice - the changing winds massage is a wonderful zen Sedona experience! Salt Rock is a great restaurant and the views are spectacular. Super chill and relaxing vibe here. Our family loves this place and will return!

Be cautious booking this resort. It is not a relaxing spa resort as advertised. The courtyard and pool are overrun by people partying and drinking until late hours not respecting quiet hours. Be prepared for screaming and drunk behavior with loud music blasting from personal speakers. The courtyard was trashed every morning with empty glasses, partially eaten food. It felt like being at a campground not a 4 star resort. The staff was nice but don’t address any of this unless you explicitly complain. The only thing redeeming is that the spa while small and underwhelming did provide a nice service.

The staff is absolutely stellar and super-friendly! We were provided with rides up to the uptown parking lot, which saved us a lot of time and effort. The sound bath that was held in the pool area was a relaxing (and free) event. Our dining experience was terrific! Will definitely stay at Amara Resort when we return.

Overall a very good option in Sedona. A great central location. The property is older and some areas show it more than others. For the high nightly rates, I would expect some areas of this property to look and feel More elevated. This includes the interior hallways (very cheap looking), pool area (was ok), restaurant appearance inside also just ok. The room was fine overall, and clean. Again, it’s a decent hotel to stay at but expected more for what was paid (roughly $750/ night)
