The property is amazing. We walked along the shallow water for miles each morning and laid around in the warm water. Staff was very friendly. Service was excellent. We are definitely coming back soon.

Book this hotel as a flight/hotel package. It was very affordable for a post Thanksgiving trip. Location is great, close walk to town, beach is across the main road in hotel zone. Breakfast included although we only ate twice due to boring and bland options. Fresh juice and coffee included. Concierge/ front desk agent Adam, was fabulous. I highly suggest reserving a cabana (poolside,beachside) so much better and closer than the main building tucked away from the beach. I did find the beach loungers to be rather worn and in comparison to the other beach hotels Xaloc was rather tired and worn. The pool decking was a bit precarious and rotting in some places. I did notice that they were painting common areas. If you’re looking for a luxury beach club feel, I would recommend another hotel, but if you are interested in value and plan on spending time exploring the area and not a high emphasis on beach bar vibe then this is a great spot. We spent 500 pesos plus a drink minimum at several other hotels for the vibe. Very few actual beachside loungers. Overall it was a good place without the frills of the newer more upscale hotels. Would stay here again for the proximity to town and the beach. But luxury it is not. House keeping was excellent. No in room safe.

Online it says check-in ends at 10. We had car trouble on the way to the ferry so we were going to be close to the 10pm deadline. When i called at 9:30 from the ferry they said check-in was already closed and i could come back tomorrow. It was the last ferry so we weren't able to get back to our car. After talking with the receptionist several times they ended up agreeing to leave a key so we could get into our room when we arrived. Overall everything ended up working out but it was very stressful.

The people were very kind and the room was clean. But other then that..I would not recommend staying here. The beds are as hard as wooded boards. The toilet seat was broken. Lights did not work in room and the pools were not clean. I was very disappointed for such a highly rated hotel. Very disappointed overall

Beautiful but lacking
Cute place with scenic views with a lot of potential, except upon arrival they did not have the amenities shown online. I specifically wanted a place with restaurants/bars that they advertised and they had neither…. So paying that price for just a room was disappointing.

The property itself was nice, was I was dissatisfied was the lack of entertainment to be, an adults only hotel. Bar was closed and the beach lounge area looked isolated. Room was clean and bed were clean and comfortable; however, the toilet didn’t flush well.
