Five-star location & view with superb staff
I stayed 2 nights at the Hong Kong Mandarin Oriental Hotel and it truly was a dreamy accodomodation. The location makes it convenient to whell your luggage from Central Station (approx. 5 mins), and once we entered the hotel, the staff immediately welcomed us with attentive service. The welcome beverage and hand towels were yet another hospitable touch! We had a skyline view from our room on the 17th floor—which was amazing for watching the daily light show at 8pm. I would like to mention that Mr. Kawata at the front desk was so helpful in designing an itinerary for our short stay in HK. His suggestions fulfilled all of the activities we wished to experience and I sincerely appreciate his hospitality that surpasses his job description. This was an amazing stay that I was sad the minute we checked out of the hotel... I can’t wait to come back to Hong Kong, and of course, stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel again!

Unbelievable experience -- the best service ever
I travel over 40% of my time for business, for the past 9 years. I lived in Hong Kong a long time ago, and knew of the Mandarin Oriental's reputation as the top hotel in Hong Kong, along with the Peninsula on the Kowloon side. You will not be disappointed. Everything -- and I mean EVERYTHING was top notch. The room (with harbour view) was not super large, but well appointed, with solid elegant furnishings. Whenever I needed anything (like how to connect my computer to the TV), the waiter who brought my room service noticed I was struggling, and within 3 minutes after he left, hotel tech support was knocking on my door to solve the problem. This hotel just makes you feel good to be in it. I don't know how else to describe it, it just feels good.

An exceptional experience
Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental for our first visit to Hong Kong was probably one of the most memorable trips we've taken. It's a testament to the hotel staff's level of service, kindness, and attention to detail that was ever present during our stay. The hotel staff went well beyond what we could have expected to make our trip memorable, provided around the clock excellent service and demonstrated flexibility when we needed it when we checked in early, needed a late check out, arranging restaurant reservations, transportation, and advice for tourist spots, to name a few. The room was the highlight with a grand view of both the iconic city skyline and the harbor with excellent room amenities and comfort. Since coming back home we've been literally thinking about our next trip and looking to other Mandarin Orientals for future travel.

Excellent hotel, excellent services,
Professional, enthusiast in the course of check in. Overall service is excellent and outstanding. Smart and precise to our needs for handling our traffic or luggage. Spa is impressive, therapy had helped release stress, worth spending the time to relax there. Location of hotel is perfect, can reach shopping malls through various connecting footbridges. Room is spacious. Our room was facing harbour with exceptional views, and a telescope was provided in the room which gave extra fun. Facilities in room are modern and user friendly. TV channels are sufficient to cover all aspects or countries. Bath room hygiene items are all Hermes, all make us really enjoy spending time in the room.

lovely as usual
stayed there for 3 nights for my boyfriend's birthday trip to HK. We didnt even tell the hotel about that and they sent a delicious chocolate cake to our room on his birthday. service is really good as well. details are done well - just why I like mandarin. if I had to be picky and make some suggestions: 1. I don't mind paying for good facility and service. charging 68HKD for a coke from the mini is a bit excessive. 2. we went for the sunday brunch at clipper lounge. seafood and pudding selections are wonderful. but the cooked food spread was pretty disappointing. perhaps it's the space that was limiting but the selection that was available definitely isn't up to Mandarin's standard.
