I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Kingston in Kingston, Ontario, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I was placed in a room directly next to the staff workroom, which turned out to be a major issue. The staff were loud, talking on their phones late into the night, and constantly coming and going, causing the door to slam repeatedly. This made it extremely difficult to get any rest.
Additionally, my only entrance to the building was through a back alley door, which felt unsafe and degrading. This was not the experience I expected from a Hilton property. To make matters worse, when I attempted to call the front desk to address these issues, no one picked up my calls.
I paid full price for my stay, the same as those who were accommodated in the main building, yet I feel I received substandard service and treatment. I sincerely hope this was an accidental oversight and not racially motivated. I trust that Hilton will address these concerns to ensure future guests do not encounter similar issues.
