Keep looking, this place is no place to stay
Wow, where to start on a lousy stay at the W? First, they only had one day of my reservation confirmed, had to show them the reservation for two days. Next we were booked into an ADA room, no we did not ask or want it, with no tub and an awful shower. On the second day our key didn't work, we were locked out. We had to make another trip to the desk to get the second day figured out again and our key card reactivated. When we got into the room that afternoon (3:30) it was not made up. Trash cans full, bed unmade, toilet paper not refilled, towels not replenished, nothing done. We complained to the manager of the poor service and we were told that it was all our fault! He said that booking through Expedia (which we had NOT done) made it impossible for him to do anything for us. He then said that the Hotel has until 5:00 to clean the room and if we'd leave he'd have someone come up and clean it now. Look, this is not Motel 6. At least there you know what to expect. Don't stay here. It's a rip off, poorly managed and run. Pretentious jerks at the front desk refer to everything as if they are in England ("don't take the first lift", etc.). Lot's of homeless on the streets and at Starbuck's across the street smoking dope and we even saw one shooting up in a doorway by the Hotel. Next time we come to Seattle we'll stay in Bellevue.

Exceptional 10.0
My gf and I stayed at the "W" on 12/17/2018, room #1009. We were extremely impressed with the level of service! From the front desk at check in to the wait staff at Trace Restaurant to the room service staff to the bell boy, everyone seemed genuinely motivated to make our stay as nice as possible. We had heavy appetizers for a preshow supper at Trace Restaurant. The Fried Brussels Sprouts, Charcuterie and Cheese Board and Cubano Sliders were excellent. It was so good that we had lunch there after checking out the next day! Room Service late night freshly made cinnamon doughnuts arrived hot as did the more modest breakfaast next morning. Room was well appointed and very clean. Decor is very modern, more so than I prefer, but that's a matter of taste. Very responsive environmental controls were much appreciated. NOTE: Our room was on the 10th flloor which was even with the top floor of the parking garage next door. You could almost pass a cup of coffee to people over there. As we had a corner room, we were able to close the blinds on the garage and still have some view. I would ask for rooms on the 12th floor or higher. Parking is very expensive if you use the hotel garage. However, there is a parking garage next door which costs less than half per 24 hours ($39). Location is only a couple of blocks from Benaroya Hall and the 5th Avenue Theater. Easy walking dstance of most other downtown Seattle landmarks. All in all, an excellent (if pricey) stay!

Very good 8.0
Comfortable, but rude.
Everything was great. Very comfortable, great view. Nice shower. Needs firmer pillows, or at least an assortment. What left it at less than five stars was the check in process. The man who checked us in denied me and my credit card because I was under 21. First of all, I have stayed there before with no such problems. And second, it was my birthday. Like whatever but, at least try to be nice to me on my birthday? Also, if you're going to make my boyfriend check-in, at least let me use my credit card. All he had was his debit so there he was all weekend without $150. And when the man told me that I could not check in because there are drinks in the rooms, I was confused because I don't remember that, and he was like, "Which you won't be drinking because you're underage and its illegal, right?" How many people must lecture me on my freaking birthday? I am FULLY aware that I am not allowed to drink and have no intention to. So please tell your staff to stop trying to be my parent. I will definitely think twice about staying here again. And our two free drink vouchers (which I did not intend to use because I'm only 20 anyways) arrived in the middle of the night under the door. How thoughtful. Overall, the room was great, but their customer service isn't. I get that I'm underage and still a kid, but I do have the money to use your service and the power to give good reviews. So please don't treat me like I'm less than any older guests.

Good 6.0
The walls were thin, i could hear my neighbor. The front desk sent me a night mask and some earplugs that helped. When i arrived i asked for bubble bath, the front desk rep said there wasn't any. I was tired and wanted a bath before bed. I ended up falling asleep without the bath. The next morning i saw that lo and behold THERE WAS BUBBLE BATH in the shower. Had i known i would have had an enjoyable bath and refreshing slumber (somewhat since neighbor woke me up at 6 am) I called to ask what time checkout was on the day we were supposed to leave. The front desk responded with "so you want to check out?" i replied "no, i just want to know what time check out is since i will be gone this morning and want to be back in time for check out" front desk replied "noon". I went on a walk to Pike Place Market . I returned before noon, my door was locked. They had locked me out of my room. My husband had them unlock us. Overall i liked the hotel aesthetically but the service was not up to par. ALSO ... parking was not included in price and $46 extra was a bit too much in my opinion. I appreciated the mask and earplugs though. Thank you.

Did not like this hotel
We booked in for three nights with two double beds. The double beds were king single size at best and super uncomfortable. Me and my partner had to share one of these beds and we literally couldn't move all night because we were wedged in like sardines. The next morning we went down to the front desk because this wasn't good enough and they were extremely unhelpful. The lady said if we wanted another bed we had to purchase another room which would have been $389 USD per night and so we said we'll can we get a cot bed sent up to our room and she goes no because there's already two beds in your room and we don't put them in double rooms, mind you it would have fit no problem! Was so unhappy with the service, with the beds and also the shower was a bath/shower combo with a gross shower curtain that they had ripped holes into to hang it up. It's not a cheap hotel but the hotel is definitely cheap and corners have been cut. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Also when we checked in, the girl at the front desk actually told us that they receive so many complaints about the size of their beds. Shocking. Extremely unsatisfied with our stay.
