Nice but Pricey
First thing, the property is nice with great location. The restaurant food was very good, but pricey. Our accommodations were very cool and clean. However the outdoor wooden furniture is so uncomfortable, you will need a yoga class to help with the sore back after a few days sitting on it. The property needs to do something about this, pillows are not the solution. All prices are in pesos on the property, as it should. However when you check out the invoice is exchanged into US$ at the property’s decided exchange rate (higher than actual exchange rate). If you are a local they are asking guests to pay in US dollars not pesos, this is Wrong. The invoice should be in Pesos so guest can pay using their own credit card with a favourable exchange rate to the peso. If not a guest would have paid an invoice in pesos converted into US$, then to their home credit card currency. This means an over payment due to many exchange conversions. At check out, I had to really push to be charged in pesos as I wanted to pay using my Canadian credit card. I would suggest a maximum 2 nights stay.

Lovely but overpriced
Absolutely stunning resort next to a crystal clear lagoon! Only criticisms would be the cost of food and drinks plus the fact 16% service is added to absolutely everything. The resort is so isolated you’ll be eating and drinking there so expect to spend several hundred US dollars a day which is a bit steep considering it’s mainland Mexico.

What an insane property! Everything was 5 star. It’s a bit far from the “downtown” so you will need to take a taxi if you head our but Habitas has so many things to do (or not do! :)), you rarely need to leave. We had an incredible trip. Everyone should go.

truly superb. can’t wait to visit again
From the design to the service, everything at Habitas was excellent. The lagoon is amazing and provides for dramatic views every day that never get old. The restaurant is absolutely phenomenal - we were blown away at every meal. There is a lot of care taken by the entire staff at the property to ensure your stay is amazing. 10/10, highly recommend. We truly can not wait to come back again.

The grounds and rooms are beautiful and the staff was very attentive. We missed our flight and arrived a day late. After messaging the hotel of our ordeal, they kept our room available for the late arrival. The food and drinks are bougie and the quality is top notch. A bit overpriced but hey you're in the middle of nowhere. We booked a ponton boat tour of the lagoon through the hotel and it was FANTASTIC! We were picked up at the hotel's little dock and it included a bottle of wine, a meats/cracker platter, and a fruit platter. Considering that the shower was outdoors, our encounter with bugs was zero. Getting driven in a golf cart to the room made the whole experience even more fun and secluded. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.
